Since the “Traditionalists” decided to make their bed with Constantine in 312, religion and Christianity has missed a few beats. Quite a few. The Nicene Creed was as much a work of Constantine as the church fathers. Basically God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit were OBJECTIFIED. And ever since we have been increasingly taught to pray to this BEING that lives out there somewhere.
Jesus taught us that we are ONE with Him, ONE with the Father, and that He is IN US and we are IN HIM. What’s not to understand here? What is so difficult- other than our centuries of religious teachings?
So prayer is not something we send out there to GET this objective personal BEING to GIVE US!
We pray within ourselves where the Spirit lives (maybe not as strongly as He’d like, but He’s ready when the student is) and longs to be beckoned. Look at it this way. Things do not come TO YOU from out there, but things come FROM YOU (not by your doing but His who lives within).
Eighty One more to go!
