# 19- Kick The Hierarchial Habit

You can keep the cloth habits, but get rid of the corporate crap! Believe me it isn’t easy. I’ve been there, done that, and I am a survivor! But, in some mega churches, you couldn’t shake the politics and bureaucratic structure out with all the dynamite in the world. It’s seriously embedded in the culture.

Who Wants Cheaper Insurance?

The Catholic church is of course the prime example but those who consider themselves Protestants don’t have much to brag about. They had their chances when Martin Luther came on the scene , but what’s been called the Reformation, was more like a “make over“.

Where’s the Transformation? :-(
One size does not fit all. God created us all differently. And yet we have denomination after denominations saying wear this, read this, do this, believe this, and if you don’t you’re outta here!

Last time I checked Jesus said that we have a direct link, phone line, and relationship with the Father. I don’t have to go through several layers of religious corporate BS to access Him.

I’m not saying ditch the church! Far from it!

I’m saying TRANSFORM it’s CULTURE!

For His sake, and ours! :-)

‘Who is your Covering?’ by Frank Viola is very enlightening on this subject. Or, another of Viola’s books - ‘Pagan Christianity’ (No, it’s not about the origin of Easter, Christmas trees or halloween).
