Dance with Him

I know so much ABOUT God!

That’s a good thing considering I’m a pastor. Having a minister of the gospel saved and knowledgable of God is a good start to helping others do the same. But that’s all it is- a START!

On the Edge

Let me step right out there, a little further on the edge!

Once you take off the religious glasses we all wear, strip the moralistic veneer from our behavior, and scrape the ethical varnish off our thoughts of God, He begins to become REAL! But, having said that, it’s no easy process because you have to kill the ego, the false self that we all think we are! So, let me lend your ego a knife, your thoughts of God a new vista, and maybe even liberate the females in your life.

All is not Well

The tragedy is that we think all is well!

I am not talking about politics, the war on terror, or all those things OUT THERE that go bump in the night, but our relationship to God, our theology, and religious practices. But I’d suggest to you that nothing has changed since Isaiah wrote that first chapter in his book. What’s sad is that we don’t know it. And I think for some, they really don’t want to know it because it has consequences beyond our control.

I’m a Victum

Where are all the fathers, the elders that can assure us that all is well and lead us to places we would not go alone?

See Him Now

It’s been a year for me wherein I have found just how far away from following Jesus Christ I have been all my life. It seems that after I embraced Him as my Lord and Savior at the age of 17, I began a RELIGIOUS journey that took me further and further away from Him. Having been in the full time ministry that last two decades, I have seen how others have have done the same. It’s always easier to spot stuff in others than yourself.

One Flaw

Fear a man who has no fear!

That first line is a two-edged sword. On the one hand, we have the collective entities like the American denominations which fear any thought that has not been sanitized by the overseers. I wrote months ago about a woman I know (still a babe in age and spirituality) who sits in judgment about any books that go into the church book store. One person holds the key, is the apostolic censor to what is true and what is not.

Upside Down

What does one do when their world is turned upside down?

You’ve heard the standard behaviors to some traumatic event in life. First comes denial, followed by anger. Eventually strategies are developed to see what the alternatives might be. Finally, there’s the admission of the reality of the situation. I’ve opted to go directly to the last approach. And what does that mean- for me?
