We moderns, tainted by the scientific method, have forgotten how to read sacred literature. We look for empirical truth when the stories are full of mythical, symbolic images. In order to understand our Scriptures, we must be willing to look for the symbols, to treat sacred stories as powerful, truth-bearing stories, not historical reporting, so says Richrd Rohr.
How have we become so deceived, so lost to the TRUTH?
But worse than that, we want to kill those who don’t SEE things as we do, even though we see dimly, at best.

The Matrix
From time to time we snap out of that Matrix wherein all of the electrical stimulants imprison us. But seldom!
Every now and then there are personal and societal moments wherein we are forced to get real, and live not by what sensually beckons our attention, but by what we know to be REAL! It was on one September morning, the eleventh to be exact, when the world seemed to stop. First one plane and then another slam into the World Trade Center Twin Towers. As we sit in amazement, glaring at what is transpiring, our emotions are taken to another level; our imaginations scanning the brain for some answers, as we see both towers collapse.
We saw the unbelievable, and we stood still, for a few days!
