July 16, 2006 - Too many people have a fearful image of a God who sends down wrath upon a sinful people. However, Jesus came and showed us an entirely different picture of a loving Father. Then, He demonstrated that love by submitting Himself to an incredible, gruesome crucifixion on our behalf. How can we not embrace such love?

Jesus and the Kingdom represent a totally different approach to life. I don’t know anyone, including myself, who can live ANY of the options that main stream life is offering us today and say we’re living the Kingdom. It’s hard to understand especially in light of the following.
Most Christians think Jesus was a Christian, the founder of the Christian religion.
He was a Jew; Judiasm was His religion!

Is there anyone who doesn’t think that America is in too much of a rush?
Ever wonder why we call the slowest driving time of the day- rush hour?
As I look back over my life it seems like my “coming into the Kingdom” has been akin to watching grass grow, in the winter. Or maybe as Al Gore would say, like watching a glacier melt. I know that there are exceptions to my rule, the rule; however, I see them as few and far between. I don’t know WHY it is, I just know that’s how life plays out. It’s the picture, the metaphors of the Kingdom. So why am I surprised?

Principles, especially Kingdom principles, never change. Methods change with every generation and move of the Spirit. Psalms 24:7 says, “Open up ancient gates, open up ancient doors, let the King of glory enter.” So what’s that mean for July 2006? Continue reading ‘The New Thing Is The Old Thing!’
There are so many fascinating stories and metaphors in the Bible; so many intriguing approaches to life, and so many interesting facts to consider. So, let me take on one of those things that is seldom talked about, or even known at all.
Let’s look at the temple story and the death of Lazarus.
The Gospel of John was written some 60+ years after Jesus died. John is so different than the other three gospels that we’ve created a distinction between John and the other three which are known as the Synoptic Gospels. If you want deep spirituality, you read John. If you want intimacy and adoration, you read John. It’s not that the synoptic gospels lack any of those, but that they can’t compare in depth and intensity.

Getting saved is just the start to an incredible journey! Unfortunately most stop there, or just a few miles down the spiritual road. Wanna see where this can lead? Continue reading ‘What Is Spiritual Ecolation?’
I just came out of a 39 hour Rite of Initiation with 22 men who spent that time fasting, praying, silence, solitude, meditation, contemplation, and time with God. I am simply going to post some of their comments. God is still in the transformation business: for whomsoever is willing to LOSE their LIFE (false self), that they might gain HIS (True self).

The pattern in America is for a person to join a group, a denomination, embrace the doctrines (can you say prejudices), and then spend the rest of ones life finding facts to defend what they believe. Continue reading ‘Don’t Hold On Too Tightly’
Is there such a thing? Jihad is an Islamic holy war performed as a religious duty: a crusade for a principle or belief. So, could we have a common sense Jihad, for all common people. Why can’t we all be PRO LIFE? Continue reading ‘Common Sense Jihad?’

How Can One Hear?
We of a common language call it coincidence. The more sophisticated like Rupert Sheldrake (a man I admire but find way over my head), calls it morphic resonance. Me? I simply call it God, the Holy Spirit moving in our midst.
What I am talking about is how one can HEAR (the reason I write these commentaries 6x a week- once on weekends) something from some area of life, only to have it confirmed once or twice more through various other avenues.
