I’ve heard many people say that they are “tracking with God” which doesn’t really mean alot, because what they are saying is that they are running along side, not WITH Him. Let me explain. Continue reading ‘A Bad Parallel Strategy!’

There’s one thing that I want to make sure that all readers understand. I am poor in spirit: we ALL are. So, let’s get over our cheap selves, admit that there is far more than we don’t know, than we do, and therein assure ourselves of making some progress: having some hope. Continue reading ‘Don’t Feel Stupid – We Already Are!’
It would be hard for one to ask such a question, let alone answer it is we were of the opinion that many are. God is dead. God is silent. God created the universe but He’s not involved now, etc. But, here’s what I’ll be writing on this site.
July 9, 2006 – Unfortunately, Western Christianity likes to dress up in its best theological and intellectual garments. The way of the cross is a path of descent where we become “poor of spirit”, which means we realize that we don’t have it all together, nor do we know it all. It’s not just where we begin, it’s where the journey leads us; and it’s okay!
Happy 4th of July!
We are truly only FREE as long as we’re walking and living in the TRUTH of the Kingdom.
Do we have any idea about what that is these days? I pray you’ll take a few minutes out of the day to ponder it- seriously. And to say a prayer for our men and women who are sicking their lives today that we might enjoy our freedom, limited thought it may be to just secular things.

Way too many people that I have tried to FIX are still BROKEN. It’s not something that will cause me to quit trying; rather, I’m in the process of adjusting how I tinker with the mechanics of the soul.
Have you seen that game that kids play wherein there are usually nine pop-up heads? You hit one and knock it down, and another pops up somewhere else. The game is to see how many such heads you can knock down in a timed-event. Sounds like how we want solutions to problems fixed- instantly.
Another name for it is counseling!

The only man I know who behaves sensibly is my tailor; he takes my measurements anew each time he sees me. Everyone else goes on their old measurements and expect me to fit them. George Bernard Shaw.
How hard it is to let people out of the boxes we keep them in. Yes, they built the original box; however, every time they try to get out, we nail another board down to keep them there. It seems as though it’s just too much effort to let people grow an change. It’s much like not being able to keep up with the growth of our kids. We treat them as nine year oldf when they are twelve; or as twelve year olds when they are mid-age teenagers.
This dilemma is even more evident in the church.

I believe in hell. But I am less certain today of exactly what that means. I had planned on writing something about the conference here in Albuquerque; however, outside the conference center, I ran into a this line of thinking that I need to share with you.
Maybe it’s that I need to share it with myself. Who knows?
I believe it was Brian McLaren who wondered why it was God was asking us do to something that He Himself would not do (if we had really interpreted the Scriptures correctly). He was talking about forgiving people. How could God tell us we had to forgive people when He would not (can you say hell?). If there is anything I am sure of within my own soul, it is that our problems with the Bible have little to do with the Bible and all to do with our interpretation of it.

Lyn and I are in Albuquerque Thursday through Saturday evening attending a Prophetic Conference. I will write a report on late Friday evening as an update, and then a final one Saturday evening after our return.
Until then, I’m chillin!
Seriously, It was 55 last night.

Misconceptions of the Prophetic
There are so many misconceptions of the prophetic. I am sure I embrace some of them, though not knowingly.
I grew up in a denomination that really didn’t believe in the prophetic. And then I came into the charismatic crowd and of course by definition of who I was (charisma), I went with this new crowd. There were the PROPHETS who made big money and attracted large crowds, and there were those who had this little gift of fore-telling and forth-telling, who tickled the ears of many.
