God is love. Right? And we are children of God. Still okay? So, that means we’re to love and be love. Since A is B, then B is A, and they are one. Okay enough of that. Five years ago Steven Spielberg produced a revolutionary scientific and yet humanly emotional movie entitled Artificial Intelligence. I couldn’t help but think about some spiritual, maybe religious would be better said, comparisons. AI is much of what I believe the church has been practicing for about 150-200 years now. Artificial intelligence has led us to artificial invitations! You know the drill that religious America came up with in the 19th century; otherwise known as the “altar call“. It’s an invitation at the end of a message that manipulates most people do soing something that they think will keep them out of hell. What is it that you believe in or is it, WHOM do you believe? But more foundationally what is faith or belief, without getting to theoretical or unuseful? Simply, faith or belief is a trust in, and loyalty to God. And then we must add to that- a firm belief in something for which there is no proof! Now that’s where this whole thing gets a bit sticky. Unfortunately, Christianity has taken the moral road to the exclusion of all others. Jesus sowed the Kingdom and reaped the church. And one of the casualties is the powerful, “I Am” statement. Proof can be found in what religion has done with the third commandment… moralized it and made it all about cursing. We need to get back to the powerful words of Exodus 3:14 and John 8:58… I am!
Joseph Chilton Pearce wrote a book thirty years ago entitled, The Crack In The Cosmic Egg. It was an off the charts book about spiritual things. I’ve followed him (his writings) now through , I think, about eight books. What was a “crack” back in 76 is now totally scrambled! Every now and then there comes along a man, or woman, who can take us places we totally do not understand. The Artificial Invitation (Ai) Part # 2
I got some good comments from yesterday and since this is where I am headed for Sunday, one more “helpers aid” might be of benefit. Tonight I will be sharing with a couple dozen what I’ve changed my mind about in the past 2-20 years, what I’ve been delivered from, and what I think I was taught that’s not valid. Sounds pretty arrogant doesn’t it? Belirve me, I’m far from that. Those who taught me were honest men and women. I may yet find out they were right and I am wrong, so I tread lightly with great humility as I depart from some of my past teachers and teachings.
