Fear And Then Denigrate!

It’s more than sad that most religious people (regardless of the religious franchise to which they attach themselves) fear anything that doesn’t line up with their acquired theology or spiritual pedigree. Where did you get your religious beliefs anyway? Who gave them to you, who did you pick them up from and why? At the last count, there are over 20,000 Christian (note the adjective “Christian”) brands that you can choose. Which one is right? How about most right? Would you believe mostly right? Un poco? Continue reading ‘Fear And Then Denigrate!’

Blame Your Ego!

I am amazed at how people can at one moment declare to the world, and particularly those “lost heathens” that God is good, God is love; and then turn around and blame God for whatever ill befalls them. How does that work anyway? The world sees what most Christians do not see- our hyprocrisy and-or contradictory statements. The bottom line is that we cannot blame God for anything! If you’re looking for someone to blame, look in the mirror and address your ego, the false self, the person you think your see in that mirror. Have you considered this. Continue reading ‘Blame Your Ego!’

Cash-N-Carry God

Lead an irresponsible lifestyle and expect financial problems. Don’t get yourself into debt and then ask God to get you out, and then get mad at Him when He doesn’t miraculously save your bacon. Quit looking to God to be your personal valet, your genie, or material mascot. In fact, if you want to get it right, quit looking at God as a BEING, a HE, a PERSON, WARRIOR, KING, or whatever other metaphors you choose to “objectify“. Here’s why. Continue reading ‘Cash-N-Carry God’

Jesus & Buddha

It struck me one day that no one was talking about the 28 some years that Jesus lived. Better than 85% of the life of Jesus is unaccounted for and no one questions why? Few question where or how? We know of His birth, an event at the age of 12, and then with John the baptizer a age 30 ish. So, where was Jesus in those two major GAPS in His life? Continue reading ‘Jesus & Buddha’

Is God Omnipotent Or Not?

There are lots of questions that need to be answered and more that need to be asked when it comes to life. Philosophy breaks down into seven disciplines and ask these seven questions: what is theology, history, epistomology, ethics, metaphysics, art, and politics. You could spend a life time on any one of the seven and there are man and women who have indeed. But, one of the most important questions cocnerns the triune concept of God of which I want to deal with just one of the three “O’s”- omnipotence. Continue reading ‘Is God Omnipotent Or Not?’

More One-ness Thinking

Science, and quantum physics particularly, are proving what most Christians have preached, bt not practiced. It seems that the church is good at orthodoxy, but pathetic at orthopraxy. Carl Jung brought us syncronicity, but the likes of Ken Wilber have brought us concepts in the non-local universe. Which means what? Continue reading ‘More One-ness Thinking’

# 15- God Is Not A Man!

God’s not a He! God isn’t a She. In fact, God isn’t a BEING at all. I know that is hard to grasp for many, and down right heretical for most fundamentalists. He’s not THERE anywhere. If God were a BEING, we’d have to put God in some one place; however, God is not anywhere. God is everywhere! Continue reading ‘# 15- God Is Not A Man!’

Compared To Whom?

Compared to many I’ve led a blessed life, to others one of poverty. Life IS what it IS. I will be attending a retreat at Namaste later this year, but Cynthia Signet will not be the instructor-guide. I don’t know if I could even begin to relate to her life. By her standards, my life is one big bore. Just visiting her retreat center is close enough for me, and here’s why. Continue reading ‘Compared To Whom?’

Loving The ONE We ARE

As is the practice and custom now, this weekend post is a follow up and review of the Beyond Theism Ministry that happens every Friday night after the “normal” service ends. For those that could not stay, could only attend part, or who want a recap- this be it! And thanks to those that could stay, and do stay, because without YOU, it wouldn’t work very well. Continue reading ‘Loving The ONE We ARE’

Our Spiritual DNA

March 23, 2007 - Born for greatness and dominion, Christianity has become smothered in metaphoric “sheep-itis” meekness and weakness by a church bent on control, rather than offering the liberty of a life in Christ. When we open our eyes to the TRUTH of a Christ consciousness, that truth will set us free!
