Just Theory Or Reality?

There are so many things that people claim, but really don’t believe deep down. That point is especially true for Christians. Yelling and screaming at the devil on Sunday and then cowering in fear, for a host of reasons, on Monday, if not Sunday afternoon. Let’s take a look at one foundational example. Continue reading ‘Just Theory Or Reality?’

Friends & Covenant

One of the greatest gifts that anyone can be given are FRIENDS. But, what’s the definition in today’s society where contracts are entered into to be broken, marriages are consummated to be terminated, and families are started to be separated. Friends aren’t those who love you while things are good, when they are in agreement with your thoughts, when your lifestyle meets their approval, but friends are those who hang with you in good times and bad, thick and thin, agreement and disagreements. These last two weekends have reminded me of the most treasured things in life. Continue reading ‘Friends & Covenant’

Watch Your Words

The main way we communicate with people is with body language. Since few are good at interpreting such, the second and most commonly used means of communicating are our WORDS! But, our words carry more than the context of the words used. Words represent the tone of your heart, mood, intent, and purpose of the words. Continue reading ‘Watch Your Words’

What’s New With You?

I’m not talking about some clothes, car, house, or job promotion. What NEW LANGUAGE are you using? what new CONCEPTS are you discovering, toying with, or pondering? If there is any understood principle in the field of human endeavor it is that we can’t go where we don’t have the WORDS to explain or describe whatever it IS that we see or are anticipating. Continue reading ‘What’s New With You?’

Wrestling With The Egoic Self

Friday nights are a time of enlightenment. I am talking about the after service and the service after that. I am talking about when it’s not a one-man band, but a body coming together to really be ONE! I’m not going to give you the answers (if there is just one, or if I had it); however, here are some of the things that WE talked about Friday night. Continue reading ‘Wrestling With The Egoic Self’

Dueling Dimensions

April 27, 2007 – Our old paradigms are leaking faith as fast as theologians can plaster over them with new logic — which basically isn’t logical! Coming to grips with our humanity and our divinity is a foundational brick in the wall of Christian faith. How it is taught is the difference in life and death (physically and emotionally). I’m going to give it the mystical make over in this message and I hope it brings illumination and life.

Gracious In The Journey

It’s bad enough that there is so much division within the body of Christ, amongst religions of the world, but the apparent need to tear down others unlike us is most disheartening. I know. I came from that mindset. I came from a denomination that thought it had all the truth. ALL! And I was one of it’s best swordsmen. I was out to knock down every argument that didn’t agree with my denomination. How did I think that was God? Or, was I even thinking at all. I choose to believe it was simple immature zeal. It kills nonetheless. Continue reading ‘Gracious In The Journey’

Like Jesus? Unlike Buddha?

One of the greatest obstacles to unity on this planet we call earth is that we define ourselves not in WHO WE ARE, but more likely in WHO WE ARE NOT. Sad! Sunnis are so much like Shiites; however, they choose to kill each other over who they are not. Tutsis and Hutus can barely be told apart physically speaking but instead of looking at their similarities they killed more than one million of each other in the last decade. What in the hell are we doing anyway? Continue reading ‘Like Jesus? Unlike Buddha?’

An Open Invitation

The Spirit world that we live in, marinate, and the Source from whence we are sustained as human beings is more than we are embracing: so much more. I’m talking about a concept akin to salvation, but that which is nothing like the religious term salvation envisions. I don’t know why it is but one has to “fight” to enter in. Maybe it’s that “pearl before swine” concept (Matthew 7:6). Maybe it’s this. Continue reading ‘An Open Invitation’

It’s Time To Sing!

I can be sitting in my meditation chair (I have several) listening to good, quiet, and peaceful music. And then out of no where the music takes on a totally different dimension. My body begins to respond to the resonance of the sound, I can feel my skin be awakened, and whatever WAS in my MIND IS no more. What’s that? Continue reading ‘It’s Time To Sing!’
