Bob Dyer - Seedplanters and Law-Breakers

November 9, 2007 - Scriptures call Jesus the “Spirit of Prophecy”. So how many times did he prophecy? Jesus came to FULFILL prophecy as well as our man-made laws, requirements and limitations. Bob Dyer explores what seedplanters and law-breakers have to do with walking in the prophetic… now!

One More Time

I don’t know about you, but I’ve decided to try and get off of the merry-go-round of religious rituals. Breaking long established habits is not easy, especially those religiously charged ones, where we’ll break fellowship and slander a person if need to uphold the doctrines of God (ours). It seems that the message of the “exile” wherein Moses led his people round and round the mountain has been lost on us. The dogs go back to their vomit, the pigs go back to the mud pit, and the religious go back to the altar: and nothing changes except that we grow older and more entrenched in our behaviors. And, God help anyone who might suggest a different journey than the one we’re on. Continue reading ‘One More Time’

Do Unto Others

This is basically part three, continuing where the previous two commentaries left off. So, if you’re reading here first, it would be helpful to get the context by reading the previous two commentaries. Consciousness is just another expression of God and Christ consciousness is the clearest example of God that we know. God is most defined in Jesus, the Christ, but not confined to Jesus. How could God be confined to anything? As we are all an individualization of the ONE God, we therein have a more clear meaning of this Scripture. Continue reading ‘Do Unto Others’

Consciousness!

This is the second half of my commentary from yesterday- Christ Consciousness. Consciousness is more than the brain and far more than the mind. We have both conscious, subconscious, and unconscious thoughts but none of those speak of our “consciousness“. Consciousness is ultimately undefinable as God is because God IS consciousness.. Since there are no words to adequately describe, nor frame a complete concept of God, think it not strange that there is no simple definition of consciousness. We can only attempt to articulate or elucidate some understanding or proximity (intellectually) of the God who describes Himself as I AM! Continue reading ‘Consciousness!’

Christ Consciousness

Those gifted writers who penned the New Testament (unknowingly), used words that were common to their day. They used the language of their culture, the words of the understanding, and the concepts of their era. We who are reading this commentary are 2,000 years removed from them. We have invented new words- many, many more. We understand the world more scientifically (it’s not flat, nor does the sun evolve around the earth). We have a greater grasp on the psychology of man, his historical roots, the age of the earth, and so on. So, think it not strange that Paul would say that we need the MIND of Christ, when today we understand that as the CONSCIOUSNESS of Christ! Continue reading ‘Christ Consciousness’

Quiet Time

We simply don’t get away enough, get off the tread mill, out of the rat race, off the roller coaster of life long enough to realize that’s not where it is happening. It seems as though we are afraid to slow down and find out who we really are, Would we like ourselves without all the drama and trauma of our normal day. And who invented sitting in traffic for two hours a day just so we could continue the madness? And who came up with the name “rush hour” for sitting in traffic? Continue reading ‘Quiet Time’

Conversation With God

Neale Donald Walsh had an on-going conversation(s) with God. Sometimes, the location and the environment has something to do with “hearing”. I will be spending three days in the Hill Country seeing if that is in fact the case. Conversation with God? Hey, I’m more than willing to just let God talk! Continue reading ‘Conversation With God’

Spirit Seeing

Scientist and psychologists have documented that we human beings speak to one another more with our body language (non verbal communication) than we do with oral communication. So, why is it such a leap of faith to think that we are seeing more with our spiritual eyes than we are with our natural vision?

Spiritual Growth

While the three major religions fight over the same territory (Jerusalem), there is some hope as spiritual growth can be seen emanating from all three. All three have a fundamentalist camp that would just as soon bomb the other one into oblivion. Hey, they are, what do I mean they would like to? How is it that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all refer to and consult their holy Scriptures, wherein each embraces Abraham, but wherein each is attacking the other in the “name of God“. Continue reading ‘Spiritual Growth’
