It’s been said that Satan’s gratest tool, his greatest helpmate is RELIGION! But is Satan, Lucifer, that snake in the grass a HE? Is there such a being? Where does this being live? Is this Satan really just our ego, or maybe a dark force that shadows our every move? Let’s let those questions wait while I tackle the easy question. Is RELIGION one of God’s greatest enemies (re-phrasing the question). Continue reading ‘Peace On Earth?’

While the cross is the symbol seen most in Christian churches, it is the resurrection that’s the real history changer. Without the resurrection, the cross would have been meaningless, and Jesus nothing more than a footnote in history. So, what are the realities that emanate from that resurrection, and are we really living the resurrection life?

Brief Testimony from Lee Bedell [3:46m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | Download (166)The spiritual world has both a covert and and overt side to it. The average individual does not have the time nor the desire to spend time alone pouring over sacred literature (whatever it may be called) and seeking things of the Spirit When one looks at the religious and denominational landscape today, you have to realize that not all of them are right since most contradict one another. There are three conclusions that can be drawn here. Continue reading ‘Esoteric Christianity’
In the early months of the infant’s life it has no ego and only experiences its subconscious mind reacting to sensations. As the mind becomes consciously tied to the physical body so the ego begins to form. The emerging ego is simply the acceptance by consciousness of these boundaries. And from there the ego grows and grows and grows. It’s another way of describing self absorption- and it can be an ugly thing! Continue reading ‘Self Absorption’
Who needs a broken hip or any other injury? Just give me the keys to the safe, give me the formula to success, and tell me what I can do to escape any controversy and I’m in. When a problem is encountered, those in the East pray for God to help them THROUGH it, while we in the West pray for God to get us OUT of it. Wrestling with God just isn’t IN if you embrace most of American religious teachings. Continue reading ‘Wrestling With God?’
As I grapple with metaphors to explain the unexplainable (can you say God, Creator, Being?) I wonder just how futile the effort is. How can finite man even approach the elementary aspects of God let alone the deeper mysterious ones that evade us. But one that helps me see that God is love more than not is the potter vs. blacksmith metapor. Continue reading ‘Potter or Blacksmith?’
I say God is love but many follow a different theology. The Bible appears to be conflicted on this issue and in fact on many theological points. One can find a Scripture to back up about any belief you’d like to embrace on the “after life” as an example. There’s Scriptures that indicate: heaven, hell, no hell, purgatory, annihilation, reincarnation, etc. Yes, some arguments are more powerful than others, but the truth remains that the Bible is a library of contrasting opinions. Why not! It was written over thousands of years by dozens of authors. Continue reading ‘God Is Love’
Have you ever wondered why Jesus preferred the word “Father“? Jesus cannot be understood outside of his Jewish heritage and yet he develops this unique concept of a loving Father. We all know the anthropomorphic limits here but tied to it was the rather shocking degree to which Jesus introduced LOVE. While we know it, we seldom practice it. It was the “agape” unconditional love which illustrated it’s most grand moment on Easter Sunday when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Continue reading ‘Easter Sunday’
For too long, Christianity left me with this uneasy feeling. The church had painted a picture of an angry God who needed to kill Jesus so that the world could be saved. How could God do that which he commanded Abraham not to do? Now I see Jesus came to demonstrate the love of God, not the anger.

God Is Love
I am amazed at how many people profess to believe that God is LOVE and that His love is unconditional, but then also embrace this man-made illusionary God of righteous wrath and punitive avenging behavior. How does one do that? And how does a Thomas Jefferson tear out all the miraculous pages and stories of the New Testament and claim a resurrection? Continue reading ‘God Is Love’
