Adam & Eve!

This is one of the most fascinating stories ever told. It’s also one of the most misunderstood because many theologians have taught their students that it’s a literal story. And since CNN wasn’t there to record the event (Oct. 23, 4004BCE?), nor was FoxNews, how did this ALLEGORY get so literalized other than starting from the premise that God told Moses (and others) what to write. Let me suggest another scenario. Continue reading ‘Adam & Eve!’

Stay Tuned!

One doesn’t have to give up as many things as they might think, but just quit abusing them! When one begins to take an esoteric journey, it seems as though there’s no markers, no milestones, no rudder for the ship we’re on. Complete abandonment isn’t the goal. Being ONE with our Creator is! So, how do you know? Continue reading ‘Stay Tuned!’

Habitually Hindered

How many decades did I follow the same beliefs, observe the same customs, THINK the same things, and worst of ALL, I DISBELIEVED anything and everything that went against what I wanted to embrace? The answer is way too long. Talk about being habitually hindered! Continue reading ‘Habitually Hindered’

Salvation Scenarios

Let’s begin by admitting that only God knows the heart of anyone. Sure, there are obvious behaviors that would give one an impression of love, hate, kindness, or indifference, but once more the HEART of a person can be covered with layers of junk that hide the true reality. And then we come to the question as to who is SAVED and what is SALVATION anyway? Continue reading ‘Salvation Scenarios’

Creative Action!

The Satanic or Devil metaphor has within it some profound truths. Satan is not a real being- one with red cape, horns, and pitch fork. If there be any truth to the many principles coming from this dark metaphor it is what William Blake wrote, “Satan is a reactor: he never ACTS, he only REACTS!” I would add that Satan (the thought thereof) cannot create but only immitate. Continue reading ‘Creative Action!’

The Promise!

It’s ALL ours. we inherit the WORLD- by faith of course. And that GOOD NEWS becomes even BETTER NEWS when we realize we can’t lose it. I know that religion has taught that we come into the world as sinful little babies, but I don’t buy that. I accept the message in Genesis that says I’m created in the image of God and that all of mankind that He created is not only good but VERY GOOD! Continue reading ‘The Promise!’

The Living Word!

Life has an intreresting way of maturing us, if we let it. And sometimes it will grow us up even if we don’t want it to. I began life’s journey believing the Bible was the Word of God. It was the Word that He (God as a male) spoke to man. And He said all He was going to say. The book was closed. The Word, the WRITTEN WORD was the final authority. Continue reading ‘The Living Word!’

Sunday Church Creationism

My my my how religion loves to create rules, forms, formulas, laws, and traditionalism(s). Sunday is a day of rest, but how I grew up, Sunday sure didn’t feel like rest. Up early Sunday while my neighbors slept in. Sunday school, church, lunch with leadership, home to change clothes, back for training union, Sunday night servie and home by 9pm to sort out my “work clothes” for Monday.
