Religion has so inculcated it’s members with the anthropomorphic concept of God that it’s only natural that most fear God for a host of reasons. And yet we turn around and tell people they need to be optimistic, have a positive attitude towards life. How can one departmentalize this positive life that we’re to live here on earth with God handing a hammer and waiting to nail us at the slightest sin? Continue reading ‘God Isn’t Angry!’

It’s been said that women are more intuitive than men. I don’t refute that while at the same time advocating that we all are intuitive. In other words we all have that divine spark, being, and consciousness within us. The Spirit dwells within and that’s where we have to respond, from within the very being of our nature- the I AM that we ARE. Continue reading ‘Intuitive Living’
Life is so confusing because we fail to make some distinctions. We need to remember that there’s always a place of beginning, but where we BEGIN is not where we should END. And then secondarily, but not of any less importance is to make the distinction between the natural and the spiritual world: the third and the fourth dimensions if you will. Continue reading ‘Give No Thought!’
Jesus died that we might be one while we live that we might be many. Mankind, ALL humanhood was created by ONE. Call that ONE whatever you want, from the popular God, to the mystical Consciousness, to the Muslim Allah, or the Jewish Yahweh. It’s all the same. Man, culture has just dressed the ONE up in their own religious garb and claimed superiority. Continue reading ‘The Illusion Of Separation!’
WWJD is always the same, but WWJS is an entirely different paradigm. Jesus would not speak in King James language, not language 2,000 years old (so why do we?). He would speak in today’s language, and just what might that look like?
What we know we also deny when it gets down to the application. well, many do. Jesus came into the world some 2,000 years ago, give or take a week or so. Those who wrote of what He said, used language of their time- much of which doesn’t work all that well in today’s vernacular. The principle is the principle. Methods and terminology will vary but principles do not (a hermeneutical foundation). So, what’s that mean? Let me illustrate. Continue reading ’21st Century Jesus’
How many times have you been told that? How many times have you seen that in operation? And how many times have you violated that rule. I can say the response MANY to all three questions. This principle goes against the grain of our humanhood. This principle is also a lot more difficult to do than just turning a blind eye or looking away. Much more difficult! Continue reading ‘Don’t Judge By Appearances!’
How I loved to sing that song. How liberating, how wonderful, how awesome. Once I was lost and now I am found. The most reassuring words ever………..until I discovered the implicit message that was self defeating. The song gave me a false impression and the church affirmed the message. Salvation is a moment in time, a nano second decision of life, and an event before a church service wherein one commits to Jesus and the DEAL IS SEALED! Obama may not yet be able to seal the deal, but we could and did. So we thought! Continue reading ‘Once I was Blind!’
Jesus said that he was leaving the disciples and going to prepare a place for them and they wondered if he meant the Marriott or Holiday Inn. Jesus said in His Father’s house there were many mansions, and they envisioned something opulent in heaven unlike what they had on earth. Those were metaphors. Let’s take a stab at what they stood for. Continue reading ‘Father-Consciousness’

Cleansing The Temple
Okay, so how do we do that- cleanse the temple? What’s the best scrubbing compound? Or, are we talking about non-physical stuff? If so, what sins then do we need to purge from the temple? Is it the selling of merchandise, books, tapes, or religious trinkets? How about if cleansing the temple has nothing to do with those things that we normally think about? Continue reading ‘Cleansing The Temple’
