As I prepare for a five hour teaching on what the next four years might have in store for us, my trinitarian mind keeps being weighted to “2012 thoughts”. Almost every day I write down three thoughts that come to me “compartmentalized” as either spiritual-religious impulses, futuristic-2012 musings, or current day crisis ideas to which each has its own web site as many of you know. Continue reading ‘Homo Spiritus?’

Don’t read or hear lack of compassion for if you do, you just went the opposite direction of where I’m headed, and have travelled. For you see, I used to think I was walking on eggshells, being ever so careful to toe the orthodox line, the religious corporate mantra if you will. I didn’t want to offend those who KNEW with what I didn’t. Little did I know, that they didn’t either: KNOW! Continue reading ‘Eggshell & Fire Walking?’
When it comes to Christianity, the predominate paradigm has been to fall in love with the MESSENGER and forget about the MESSAGE. And when it comes to Jesus, that’s a very easy thing to do. What’s not to love about Jesus? He was forgiving, compassionate, and a miracle-worker. Who couldn’t love this man? The answer is those who didn’t like the MESSAGE: can you say the Pharisees? Continue reading ‘Message & Messenger’
How is it that we can become One? The answer is both simple and very difficult. First of all we ARE ONE! There’s nothing that we can ultimately do to separate ourselves for “THE ONE” who created us and sustains us. Of course, if you believe in a literal hell, then you can’t quite grasp this concept. And therein is what makes this concept very difficult. One has to purge themselves of a lot of religious and doctrinal brain washing: yes brain washing. Continue reading ‘Being One’
We can’t get there from here. Have you ever been told that? Sure, in so many other words. The world has failed at true transformation thinking that it could be attained by an act on our part- and just ONE act at that. Transformation doesn’t come by attendance, reading yet another book, following some ritual, or so many of the various methods and formulas that religion and secular society propose. Continue reading ‘True Transformation Consumes!’
Every denomination thinks they have the “secrets to heaven” to which I must ask two questions. Why does one think that there is a SECRET? And must the “to heaven” be depictive of a place? Genesis 11:4 reads, “Let’s build a great city with a tower that reaches to the skies—a monument to our greatness!” The modern and post modern is still building monuments but different “monuments” these days. Of course we’re still dedicating them to our greatness. Continue reading ‘Post Modern Tower Of Babel’
How silly of we human beings to attempt, let alone THINK that we know who this person we call GOD really is. After we have formed all of our doctrines, reprimanded others for mis-characterizing this Creator, and put our denominational rules into effect, we say that God is INFINITE! Say what? Seriously, have you ever stopped long enough to really think about the God that YOU HAVE CREATED? Continue reading ‘The Father-Consciousness Oxymoron’
Yes we do see through a glass dimly, darkly, or barely. For many the glasses through which we see the world are so scratched and smudged that it’s difficult to make out or describe what it is we see. Look (no pun intended), no matter what the intensity of the light is that you pass through a red glass, the effect will forever and always be the same- everything will take the nature and color of the glass- RED! Continue reading ‘Colored & Flawed Glasses’
I am saddened by the strong, unbending stands that I have taken in times past. There are so many doctrines and beliefs, and when you get down to it, just PERSONAL OPINIONS that I embraced to such a degree that I chose my friendships based on “shared opinions”. Last night an individual said that they’d moved from “compromise” to “cooperation”. In other words, two people don’t have to agree or form a middle ground (compromise) to journey together. We can fellowship even with divergent opinions! Imagine that! Continue reading ‘Opinions & Beliefs’
Eyes Of The Beholder
One of the greatest difficulties that the universal, one Catholic (not Roman Catholic) church faces are the multiple prejudices that we’ve brought to the table and are feeding the masses. Catholic priests are taught to teach a sub-text of the Bible. Luther ministers and Baptist pastors have their own particular bias. Bottom line, humanity has been taught from a particular duality that we deem reality and to which all who disagree are sadly living a false life: so we conclude! Continue reading ‘Eyes Of The Beholder’
