Changing & Influencing God

Can you believe it? The Creator of the world loves you and I so much that he’s more than willing to listen to what we have to say. In fact, he greatly desires us to tell him what we want, what we’d like to see, and where we’d like his help. And what I really think is cool is that the Creator is open to changing his mind about some things just to please you and I. Continue reading ‘Changing & Influencing God’

Information Isn’t Transformation

Somewhere early in the game, around the second century Common Era, what was to develop into the Christian religion began a downward spiral that totally spun out of control in the fourth century. The two major turning points came at the Council of Nicea in 325 and the Council of Constantinople in 381. The esoteric and gnostic traditions of the early church were now on the outside looking in. Get Off My Back!

There’s a Latin phrase that’s appropriate as an introduction to my commentary today and it is SUI GENERIS. It simply means “unique genre” or “one of a kind”. In essence it is saying that every one of us has a unique relationship with God and only God knows what that is so get off my back and quit judging myself and others. God knows! You don’t! :-) Continue reading ‘Get Off My Back!’

Barefoot & Naked!

So, what’s up with all the weirdness of the Old Testament and yet when someone today asks if Mary really was a virgin they get booted off the religious island? What’s up with Isaiah 20: 2-4 “At the same time spoke the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amos, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.” Continue reading ‘Barefoot & Naked!’

Co Creators With God?

Much of the church unknowingly embraces dualism- Thomas Jefferson certainly did and fundamentalists love to quote him. John A.T. Robinson was instrumental is delivering me from theism and the web site BeyondTheism.com is the witness. But, as with Post modern in relationship to modern, what IS Beyond Theism? Well, let me share a few thoughts with you. Continue reading ‘Co Creators With God?’

Remembering Again!

It’s Memorial Day, the original Decoration Day, and yet another day to REMEMBER on who it is we ARE, and from where we CAME, to to WHERE we shall return. God is SPIRIT and we have been created with-of-from the same substance-spirit-consciousness. We are ONE with ALL though we remember very little of who the I AM is that WE ARE. Continue reading ‘Remembering Again!’

History Of The New Testament

The New Testament didn’t fall out of the sky and there is yet to be an ecumenical world wide agreement of the twenty seven books . So, how is it that many think the New Testament is infallible and inerrant when it’s man made? Isn’t being SACRED good enough?

This podcast is split into two parts due to its length. Also, you also won’t be able to hear questions from those who attended this time so I apologize for the silent gaps in the audio.

Ethical Preferences & Differences

The church that SAYS that it follows Jesus who became the Christos has moved far from the FOLLOW ME model of Jesus and into the morass or morality and ethical standards. Instead of living from the TREE of LIFE, the church has camped at the Tree of Good & Evil thinking that IT KNOWS what’s GOOD and what’s BAD. History is the evidence that it in fact doesn’t know! Light Imaginations

What’s the reality of Romans 4:17? Is it name it and claim it or is it about a journey wherein we face the reality of who we really ARE, and not who we have represented ourselves to be.

The “Original Lie”

The church has preached so much on “original sin” that few people have taken notice of the “original lie”. While I don’t believe in the original sin concept (first sin yes) wherein we’re all screwed because of something done thousands of years ago. Forget that the story is an allegory loaded with symbols and metaphors and let’s deal with a much bigger issue. Continue reading ‘The “Original Lie”’
