George Bush got the religious right all fired up with his OPEN witness of his Christian faith. And then it appeared that “his god” wasn’t doing all the right things. Say what? There are some strange words in the dictionary, but if one wants to truly understand the Bible, the two in the title of this commentary need to be understood. Somewhere between 85-95% of the Biblical New Testament scholars (people much smarter than I) believe that only EIGHT of the TWENTY SEVEN books of the New Testament bear the proper name attributed to author.
