For those that embrace a monotheistic world wherein ONE Designer has laid out a plan in advance (can you say predestination?) for all of creation, there’s several words that simply have no place with an OMNIPOTENT Designer. That Being is neither LIMITED, able to FAIL, nor one who could be viewed as a RISK TAKER! But, I beg to differ with that ancient Augustinian paradigm. One of those verses in the Bible that we can read and move right on is John 14:9. The Revised English Bible (REB) records it as follows, “Jesus replied, Philip, don’t you even yet know who I am, even after all the time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! Why is it that when the Bible itself sasys that we’re partners with God, joint heirs with Jesus, and so on that we feel we have no say in how our life will be because it’s already PRE-DESTINED?
Western Christianity is so caught up in doctrine, dogma, and other distractions that we can’t see the spiritual forest for those damn trees that are in the way! Do you believe this or do you believe that? Are you a deist, theist, or open theist? Are you even a theist at all? In the stock market having “insider information” and using it to your advantage can land you in a lot of trouble if not JAIL. But, having “insider information” in the spiritual realm and NOT using it will be to your disadvantage. We are told that Jesus has sent (he’s here now) the Holy Spirit-Consciousness-Light-Etc. to TELL us things that aren’t in the Bible. The Risk Of Love
If you want to get a fundamentalist Christian to behave in an unchristian manner, just mention that God has LIMITATIONS. You might also mention that God could FAIL in some areas and that God takes RISKS!
