Someone sent me a statement that rings so true that it was the reason for this commentary today. The statement was, “The only hindrance to unconditional love is conditional love”. The GOOD NEWS is that I don’t have to make a decision between Paul or Jesus. This is not an either-or paradigm, but and And-also one. However, we need to be reminded from time to time that Paul is the one who started the Christian religion. Mysticism is not taught in but a handful of seminaries because Christianity is more about doctrine than real-life experiences in such conservative institutions. Seminary professors have a lot of FACTS about Jesus and the Christian religion, but few real-life EXPERIENCES- if any!
