Here Am I- Send Me!

Isaiah 6:8 used to mean a lot to me! Wow, what a commitment, courage, and calm to say, Here I am, send me into battle. I have matured a little since first reading that some decades ago: yes maybe FIVE decades ago! I have also come to understand the deeper spiritual meaning. Have you ever thought about inverting those two little words? Continue reading ‘Here Am I- Send Me!’

Living In The Past!

I am a student of history. I love it! I don’t feel that we can know where we are or where we are going unless we know where we have been. However, knowing where I have BEEN isn’t where I LIVE. I live in the NOW. Too many have no clue as to where they’ve been, nor what history has to teach them. Worse yet though, are those who are living in the PAST! Continue reading ‘Living In The Past!’

The Spiritual Hologram

I get asked a lot if I believe in reincarnation. My answer is no. Am I open to the possibility? Sure! Why would anyone want to be “closed-minded” to life? Well, I know why many are, but let us not digress. Well then, what about past life regressions and people who remember what’s called past life or reincarnation? Glad you asked! Continue reading ‘The Spiritual Hologram’

The Search For God

Some would say to look within while others say search the Scriptures. Some would say the journey to God is by grace while others would point to upholding the law and performing good works. And then we would have the extremes of there is no god, to I am God, and I just need to discover me. Ah, the opinions abound. Continue reading ‘The Search For God’

Love Doesn’t Control

While the church proclaims the mighty sovereignity of God, Jesus simply spoke the message of LOVE which doesn’t try to manipulate or control anything; but simply surrender. Have we forgotten the picture of the CROSS and what that means?

Spirit Not Religion

Nearly four years ago, LRC made a turn that had consequences we could not know or see. Looking back with at least 30-30 vision, the cloudy unknowns are becoming a bit clearer. The journey has many more turns that will lead us into unknown territory; however, the road we’re on is taking us home. Continue reading ‘Spirit Not Religion’

No Going Back!

You simply cannot cut open a down pillow and empty it out the window from the 5th floor on a windy day, and then go and retrieve the feathers and put them all back! Neither can you squeeze the tooth paste from a tube and then put it all back in. So, why do we think I Corinthians 13 so strange? Continue reading ‘No Going Back!’

Awakening Gratitude

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord, my soul to keep. If I should die before I awake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. I learned as a child, reared in a Christian community, how to pray at NIGHT. But somewhere I noticed an interesting fact: I’d never been taught how to pray when I awoke in the morning. So, that I learned on my own. Continue reading ‘Awakening Gratitude’

Religious Software

We obviously have moved deeply into the digital age. Who doesn’t use a computer these days? Who’s without a cell phone (we ditched our land line phone years ago) that can actually ACT as a phone but is used more often for email, internet access, photos, daily planner, and text messaging. Remember when the phone was for calling people? Continue reading ‘Religious Software’

Faith In (the) One!

The “faith movement” provided new insights to so many spiritual and soulical powers; however, it went off course because that faith was not in the ONE. Who is this ONE? Well, let’s begin by mentioning who (or what) this “one” IS NOT! Continue reading ‘Faith In (the) One!’
