Jesus was a man, albeit a very unique man. Jesus was a Jew and a very knowledgeable one at that. So, how did we come to the place where this historical person got the reputation of starting a new religion that would replace Judaism and more extreme than that was to decide that he was a second person in the trinity: can you say GOD? I have always liked my eggs; however in the last few years I’ve come to like them even more. They have a unique flavor and they are really yellow. I do have pay more for the joy of having eggs that are from what’s called FREE RANGE (not just BROWN eggs y’all). When it comes to religion though most chickens are caged: maybe that’s a good thing! When one takes a real serious look at the condition of the world, it gets a bit scary to say the least! We have major wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. War could break out any day in the Middle East. More than twenty six million people in America are out of work or under-employed. And then we have the so-called “Cardinal Climax” coming around August 1st that is going to CRASH THE MARKETS- again! Continue reading ‘Be Of Good Courage!’
Christians surely believe that the veil was rent at the death of Jesus, but what does that mean in a practical way? Who has entered in and who has seen and tasted?
Give and will be given back to you one hundred fold! Give and God will mightily bless you with financial and material blessings. God loves a cheerful giver. Oh yes, and let me remind you of the assumption that goes with those powerful promises. GIVE TO MY MINISTRY! Giving to the Lord’s work is of course giving to ME and MY MINISTRY! The world is so much bigger than the city, state, nation, or even planet we live on currently. Have you ever looked at the sky on a clear night a long ways from the city lights? It was last months that I had such an experience at 8,300 feet in Colorado. How much is there beyond what my eyes can see? Would you believe billions of galaxies, not to mention trillions upon trillions of stars. Continue reading ‘The Coming Cosmic Consciousness!’
Somehow today’s post VANISHED into thin air! Digital demons at work and a TAWDRY work it was! Maybe it’s an IRS thing! Who knows. Only the early birds got the worm….Hasta manana.
We are no longer in Kansas Dorothy. How do I KNOW this? Well, I lived in Topeka, Kansas for nearly two decades, but I digress! I was using a metaphor which is how much of the Bible has been put together. The use of metaphors is about as good as we can get when it comes to describing God since no words really do the subject justice. Continue reading ‘A Deeper Rabbit Hole!’
There’s no wonder that Marcion came to the conclusion that there must be two gods if we were going to accept the Old Testament view of God and the one that Jesus told us about. Thus Marcion was the first of the early church fathers to formulate a canon which in turn led others to disagree and it was GAME ON for who would finally be the victors in deciding what the books of the Bible would eventually be. The Divine Light Within
We say and acknowledge that we were ALL created in the image of God and then we also admit that we were created as “original sin(ers)”. How does that work out anyway? It really doesn’t. The concepts, doctrines, and dogmas of religion in an attempt to explain God, Jesus, and spiritual things have greatly missed the mark. We need to admit that much of our 2,000 year old creeds simply don’t apply to today. Continue reading ‘The Divine Light Within’
