I Corinthians 13:12 (NLT) reads, “Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. The KJV says, “For now we see through a glass, darkly.”
Can I get an Amen- maybe a witness?
Only the spirit knows rightly, perfectly. And yet there are so many, especially the large religious denominations that claim they KNOW. I have seemingly gone the other way. The more I study, the more I learn, the more I know, the LESS I am sure of with one exception. I know God is love. There are two other conclusions that I’ve come to that might fit the one exception:
>The Bible isn’t a problem, it’s how people interpret the many books in that’s a problem.
>Jesus delivered a revolutionary message with great clarity but religions misinterpreted him and the message for various reasons: some probably unconsciously- maybe even sincerely!
Socrates dictum applies here as David Hawkins puts it, “Socrates said that all human error or wrongdoing is involuntary for man can only choose what he believes at the time to be a good that will bring happiness. His only error is that he cannot discern the real good from the illusionary good.” For you see, only the Spirit, the inner voice, the pilot light of the Creator, KNOWS!

Regional Religious Resolutions
No one owns God- God owns, and IS ALL!
Islam cannot speak for the world and neither can Christianity, Catholicism, or any other religion, God isn’t “conformable” to the whims, doctrines, nor theologies of man. Every religion has their take and ideas on God and the universe and as I have said over and over again, RELIGIONS-R-REGIONAL. Case in point- I am a Christian because I was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas (an Occidental man).
Had I been born in Tibet as an Oriental man, I most probably would be Buddhist, Hindu, or Taoist.
Over the centuries humanhood has attempted to define the un-definable through polytheistic, monotheistic, and varied legends and myths. Each has built a case and lived an experience that is REGIONAL. News flash : God is universal. What’s crazy is that almost every regional religion has wound up blatantly becoming the exact opposite of their very core teachings.
Let’s use Christianity as an example.
We’re told that Jesus was the second person of the trinity, the very God of very God, of the same essence and nature as Creator God. Therein Christianity taught that God was love, that we are love and light, and that we’re to forgive 70 x 7 (can you say infinite forgiveness?). And yet when you look at Christian history you see the exact opposite.
Christians have NOT LOVED (their friends, let alone their enemies), but KILLED.
All that the Bible purports to teach us, all that Jesus said God was, and all that Jesus demonstrated in his short life here on earth, Christianity HAS NOT been, nor IS NOW! Christianity has not failed: it’s simply that we’ve failed to PRACTICE Christianity. The same can be said for Islam. Worst of all is Catholicism whose 1,800 year history as anathema to their words spoken, their doctrines expounded.
Beyond regional religions is God’s universal unconditional love. Why don’t we give it a try?
