Born To Mimic!

Relationship is the only way anything can happen.

The universe was created for relational living. If there is a message in the Christian metaphor of a TRINITY, it is in the relationship of the three in one. We mirror the universe which mirrors us.

But WHAT is it that we’re to mimic, to be like? Could it be that a clue was given to us in the book of Genesis wherein we were created in the image of God? And that being the case, just what does that image of God (whomever he-she-it may be) look like anyway?

The universe is ENERGY!

As Dean Radin (I think it was he) said, “Resonance is relationship, and relationship is all there is”. We are to mimic that inner voice, those good VIBES that speak to us each and every day, rattle our cages, and vibrate our souls. Unfortunately, we find it much easier to go with the flow and mimic society- cultural. After all, we created this culture. But, who and what created us?

Ah, those are the greater questions that lead us to a greater and transformed life.

Getting It Together!

We are ONE; however, until we start living as such, it’s just a theory!

Too much of what religion does is theory wrapped in the clothing of dogma, doctrine, rules, and rituals, which all came from the mind-ego of MAN! How easy it is to hide behind the facade of “God said”. How fearful and threatening (can you say ex-communication) to go against the wishes and dictates of church hierarchy!

What we really need is a more love and wisdom.

For me, this is what the life of Jesus was all about! Jesus came to show us that we can live without the constraints of CULTURE. We can live “outside the gates of religion”. Jesus was a JEW who didn’t preach Christianity, but the KINGDOM of GOD! It’s living from the INSIDE out, not from the EXTERNALS in as the church demands.

We need to bring our HEART and our HEAD together!

The church loves to JUDGE which is a “head process” When the heart and the head work together, we’re in balance. When the head leads the heart union is compromised and we then see things primarily through the prism of culture which asks, what’s in it for me? When the heart and head come together, the question is more about all things, not some things: it’s about kingdom living.

Are you “getting it together“?

Heart Intelligence

Everyone has a BRAIN; however, very few know that there’s a brain that directs the brain- it’s called the HEART!

The brain is very good at making decisions, making judgments, and taking quick action. But, scientific tests show that the heart makes decisions nano seconds before the brain does because the heart rules! The heart is neurally connected to everything maintaining relationships between all cells, organs, brain, body, and world.

The job description of the HEART is to establish the Kingdom (within).

The heart is a universal intelligence which takes on the colorations and flavor of each ego-self, sheltering and serving it. The heart is both universal and individual uniting in cosmic experience. When two hearts beat as one, they unite both electromagnetic fields as well.

The heart longs to bring ME into relationship with another Me. :-)

There is BAD news though. The heart has no neural complex for making judgments: only measuring emotional vibrations. What I just said is that the heart does not know the difference between RIGHT and WRONG!. That should be obvious to those who see God as non dualistic.

And, it explains why the mother of a serial killer says, “My boy is just misunderstood”.

Think about it…………..with your HEART!

Do Not!

I’m sure that you have heard of the Ten Commandments!

There is a major list of 10 “Do Nots”! Even without a look at those commandments, trying to adhere to most any religion would get you acclimated to the DO NOT paradigm; however, I am not going down that road in this commentary. Even in the list of DON’Ts there’s this back drop of DOING even though put in the negative sense.

DON’T in many ways is a DOING- of the opposite.

We’re all too familiar with the TO DO lists: strive, earn, compete, win, overcome, and if need kill! There are so many subtle messages telling us what it is we need to DO or NOT do to be a success in today’s world.

Trees don’t DO, they just ARE. My tomato plants don’t DO, they just BE (great English, eh?). BEING isn’t as much about DOING as we think. Living in the Brazilian rain forest, the Peruvian mountains, or the Australian outback makes it much easier to NOT DO than for those who live in Houston, Texas.

So, how does one NOT DO and be a success in America?

Maybe we need to define the word “success”. Maybe we need to take a look back and study Anthony and the desert fathers. Maybe we need to ask ourselves if we have any interest at all in breaking free of our DOING world. Yep, that’s where we should probably start. Is anyone really interested in getting off the treadmill of life, the yellow brick road, and taking a journey within where we are told we’ll find the Kingdom of God?

That is a serious question!

True Intel Inside!

It’s been said that more harm and damage is done by those who are offended for others than those who were doing to offending.

Too often we engage and confront people which only brings more harm to ourselves than if we’d taken the advice of a wise man who lived 2,000 years ago, who said, just walk away, turn the other cheek. When we engage any manner of toxic (negative) energy, we’re only making things worse for ourselves.

It’s the same with CULTURE!
We can correct culture. We can’t condemn culture. Well, we can condemn it, but that’s just what I said will only embolden it. Mystics learned eons ago that the only strategy is to withdraw from culture- it’s what they called MEDITATION! We have to go WITHIN where the true Kingdom of God is found and therein receive our directions.

How badly do you want OUT of the rat race?

Most just want to TWEAK the environment. Give me a little more money, have more people buy in to my ideas, and allow me to be successful without having to take on the ugly nuances of society. Jesus gave us many examples and strategies; however, they’re not the answers that we’re looking to adopt. We are IN this world, but we don’t have to be OF it.

And, how is that possible, practical?

Ah, maybe you missed my comment above. MEDITATE, GO WITHIN.
The answer is on your lap top….”Intel inside”! :-)

Culture Shapers?

We have all become so immersed in the environment around us (usually called culture) that we’re not aware to what degree it has imprisoned us.

Even those who dutifully talk about the need to transform the world, change lives, and radically break out of our cultural molds, are themselves contributing to the homeostasis: stable-sameness. Sure, you can point to this being changed, this being moved from here to there, and this new thought being considered; however, when the dust settles the end result is like rearranging the furniture on the Titanic.

We’re still going down with the ship. We’re still going down the road to nowhere.

If I have learned anything it is that I cannot even begin to think about changing OTHERS (culture if you will) until I have changed MYSELF! It was awake up call to realize that I was TALKING a good game, but I was WALKING the same path. It’s comfortable to travel the same roads.

There’s a security in sameness.

There’s a greater reward though from being the unique individual(s) that we were created to be. Are you in an environment that encourages change, mistakes to learn by, and love that never ceases regardless of who you become?

Selective Attention

Some call it selective IN-attention, others preferred attention. Whatever it is I was reminded of this once again this week as I was meditating on one of my favorite swings.

I was jolted out of my quiet world by a squirrel jumped on the swing awakening me as if a thief in the night had barged into my home. Once composed, the squirrel scampering away as fast as he-she could, I sat quietly and watched EIGHT squirrels having a play day. They were full of energy!

Once I was quiet and not moving they quickly ruled me of no importance and darted beneath my swing, from tree to tree above my head and all around as though I did not exist.

It reminded me of a story of an acquaintance who had a pet rabbit within a very noisy neighborhood where cars whizzed by, honked, and other noises broke the calm of the moments. My friend would simply scratch the ground with his fingers so lightly he himself could not hear it, but the rabbit was awakened to the vibration, perking up his huge ears.

We’re much different, in behavior!

We have been imprisoned by the noises of the world (society) so much that we cannot hear those still small sounds and voices that come from within and without. Our selective INATTENTION to the spirit that dwells within needs more SELECTIVE ATTENTION to the truth and reality of who we are and not who the world has said we are.

As a man thinks in his HEART, so is he!

Ready To Break Free?

Imagine hearing an inner voice that said quit your job, sell your home, move to another state, and start a new business: to be determined when you get there!

Genesis 12 has a similar story for Abraham.

It’s my contention that we’re always hearing all sorts of messages. Who knows which ones are the real deal, meaning they are coming from the center and ground of our being- TRUTH! Putting that issue aside, if we can, what do we do when we hear, feel, or sense a radical message from within?

We check it against what we know!

In other words, we weigh it against our experience(s) which have been dictated to us by the culture and geographical location from which we arose. Any form of SUGGESTIVENESS has to be filtered through our past programming. We have to wrestle with these UNKNOWNS and somehow fit them in to our KNOWNS. Unfortunately history shows us that much of our KNOWNS were not facts, not true, and discovered to be limitations on our true nature.

What’s the last crazy thing you heard or felt was spoken to you to do, but you didn’t?

Everyone can look back at missed opportunities, detours taken, and decisions left unattended. However, rather than focusing on what might have been, why not open up to the NOW and act on that which is currently being spoken to you?

Got courage? :-)

Dangerous Pseudoreality!

Our body knows things that our conscious mind is clueless.

Charles Tart is an American psychologist and parapsychologist known for his psychological work on the nature of consciousness (particularly altered states of consciousness), as one of the founders of the field of transpersonal psychology, and for his research in scientific parapsychology. He has a Ph. D. in psychology by the way.

His work is just one of many that says that we’re consciously living dangerously.

In hooking two people up to a polygraph and other brain wave devices, placed in separate rooms, and told to GUESS when the person in another room was SHOCKED by an electrical current, the individual failed miserably. However, the body registered the shocks to the nano-second.

The BODY KNOWS!
The etheric shield, the real me, the real everything is ever continuously connected to the universe of life. Because we have been told how to live by society and not by the divine voice within, we’ve become cultural mutants, separated from our true self and nature. We have been blessed to have savants, sages, and unique individuals come to show us how to live (can you say Jesus?), but instead we’ve opted for the dangerous pseudoreality called RELIGION.
I’m still breaking free, but I’m a long way from where I once worshipped at the altar… of man.

Cultural Counterfeits!

That would be you and me- us!

We have all been inculturated to such a degree that we are not living as we were created. That should be a no-brainer of a statement, but to what degree do we understand such? Each of us has been created with and for a purpose, a plan. If you don’t believe in a Creator-creation scenario, read on anyway.

Whatever our primary programming is or was, culture has altered and most know it not.

Religion has been one of the worst disciplines-institutions to advance this demonizing culture. Religion has advanced the cultural counterfeit to such a degree that JESUS was made into something to benefit the church and not transform the individual. I agree that Jesus came to SAVE us, but not from God, but from our counterfeit persona.

Are you a follower of JAY-ZUS, or Jesus, the Christos?

Big difference!

Jesus, Buddha, and other unique individuals came to give us a glimpse of what might be possible for an individual to live according to the creation blueprint and to not be dominated by Culture….or religion! Culture operates by taking over, by replacing the divine original within with a counterfeit imposter.

How would you know, how could you test this hypothesis?
