Who is this Jesus of Nazareth? Other than the fact that He’s the most written about indvidual in all of history, how’d this man get to be so famous? Sure, we measure time around His birth. We’ve discovered that He was born a little earlier than we originally thought, but the change from BC-AD to BCE-CE doesn’t change the fact that the world is measured by the time He entered this world’s stage. No man has been more studied than His life and He only lived for some 33 years of which we don’t know of 85% of it. Beyond the statistics- the facts- the data, what’s Jesus mean to ME?
1-I could not know the true God without the life of Jesus, the Christ.
2-The God of the Jews, Hebrews and all others, before Jesus came, was not rightly described or known.
3-Jesus was the first-born, begotten Son in that He was the first to properly characterize and explain that God was love.
4-By His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus verified and validated that HE was ONE with God and He said we were the same. He proved to us that there is life after physical death. Talk about GOOD NEWS! 
5-His death washed away the separation (a sin) that existed. We are ONE!
6-He was the first and only one to cast Himself in the role of servant to ALL men (savior for the world).
7-Last, but not finally, He showed me (us) how to LIVE a life of LOVE (Kingdom).
Jesus is the whom to whom I aspire to model. I do it rather poorly too often; however, it remains my purpose in life nonetheless. What’s yours?
