I am so thankful that we do not have the original manuscripts from the New Testament. Because there are hundreds of translations for those who are thirsty, hungry, and desperately seeking God who must dig in and do a lot of studying, comparing, and wrestling with the Scriptures. After all, isn’t that what II Tim. 2:16 reminds us that we need to do?
I want to use the Scriptures and make just a few “adjustments” to pass on my THANKFULNESS in the following paraphrased verses.
>II Cor. 8:16- I am thankful to God that he has given me some incredibly loyal co-laborers who share the same enthusiasm for the Kingdom of God as I do.
>Colosians 3:15- Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body we are all called to live in peace, so always be thankful.
>Colossians 4:2- Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart for this day!
>I Thes. 8:18 No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for everyone!
>II Thes. 2:13- As for me, I always thank God for my friends, awesome people loved by the Lord. And I am thankful that God chose those who labor with me to experience transformation, a transformation that came through the Spirit who awakens your consciousness and your belief in the truth.
>I Tim. 1:12- How thankful I am to Jesus, who became the Christos for considering me trustworthy and appointing me to serve the body at LRC and thus Father-Consciousness as well.
>I Tim. 4:4- Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it- NONE of it! May we love everyone unconditionally, with thankful hearts.
>Heb. 12:28- Since we are benefactors of a kingdom that cannot be destroyed, let us be thankful and please God by being one with Him in as much intimacy as possible.
We are blessed to be in America! And wherever you may be this Thanksgiving day, consider what life would be like if you were to have been born in a third-world country without running water, little food, and living under a tyrannical dictator who saw you as chattel, if you were acknowledged at all.
I am more than THANKFUL. I am blessed, I AM!
