Acceptance & Rejection

Everyone has some degree of rejection going on in their life. Some suffer from so much rejection that they need to be institutionalized- and are. Some suffer from rejection and don’t know it. That they don’t have any long term relationships just doesn’t seem to sink in as having been caused by their rejecting others before they think they’ll be rejected. But, acceptance can be a bigger problem.

I am referring to the acceptance of negative thoughts!

Who doesn’t have voluminous thoughts throughout the day that you wish you didn’t? Life and the day is full of good and not so good stuff. Some of the most intimidating and paralyzing portions of our day though usually come greatly disguised as suggestions. Yes, suggestions.

You get an email from a friend suggesting that you do something differently.
Your mind wonders what they “really mean” by the suggestion.

In a phone conversation the person asks you why you did something.
Your mind begins to question why they asked “that” question.

A friend tells you that they heard that John Doe has some concerns about you.
Your mind starts reviewing a host of “what if” situations.

In the above three scenarios, it is the MIND that takes over and drives you crazy if you decide to obsess on the issue(s) at hand. All three scenarios can be, and usually are, not nearly as bad as we make them out to be; however, we have the choice as to how we allow said statements to impact us. Will we ACCEPT the potentially negative thoughts, or will we REJECT them?

In a reverse scenario, the Scriptures tell us that God is love and that faith moves mountains, but how many people actually ACCEPT such statements? How can one walk a double-minded paradigm of God is love and yet ACCEPT that God allows people to be sent to hell (free will) or sends them to hell for eternity?

To ACCEPT and idea means to BELIEVE it!

If a person tells you that Chicago is in Texas, you don’t accept it. So, why is it that we say that God is love and yet he hated Easu even before he was born? Why do we ACCEPT that? Watch your back today, but watch what you accept. It’s your choice. No one can force an idea on you. And while your reading this, whatcha need to reject that you’ve been falsely pondering?

Seriously. Throw out something before moving to the next web page!
