All is not Well

The tragedy is that we think all is well!

I am not talking about politics, the war on terror, or all those things OUT THERE that go bump in the night, but our relationship to God, our theology, and religious practices. But I’d suggest to you that nothing has changed since Isaiah wrote that first chapter in his book. What’s sad is that we don’t know it. And I think for some, they really don’t want to know it because it has consequences beyond our control.

I am there!

We seldom pray any more. And what is prayer anyway? Even that is not done as prayer was originally practiced. Prayer in it’s original form was NOT WORDS, but CONSCIOUSNESS: just BEING! We ARE, but we no longer know it. Even the word CONSCIOUSNESS has been turned into a punching bag, a far eastern concept, or a California cult. Consciousness is Spirit! The Jungian collective unconsciousness is nothing more than the Holy Spirit Himself.

I can attest to the fact that when you quiet yourself and seek Him, He will be found. And one of the most exciting things is to be able to get in on some of the conversations of the Godhead. You can! But, it takes time, relationship, intimacy, and a “first love” attitude. And when you get there, out of nowhere you’ll hear a word, a phrase, sense an answer, be given an instuction. Listen, it only takes a couple of those experiences to become hooked, addicted, and totally in love with Jesus!

You CAN hear God!

And then you discover, all is NOT well; but you are on the road to recovery. What used to matter no longer does. What used to bother you- doesn’t. Best of all you start to truly enjoy everyone. You see their flaws and it doesn’t matter. Why doesn’t it matter? Why do you not feel compelled to judge, be angry, or upset? Well, I believe a phrase in a song by Leonard Cohen says it best, “Everything has a crack in it and that’s how the Light gets in”.

All is not well, but God is even using that for His glory! :-)
