Too many churches in America are closed! Closed to new thinking, closed to differeing opinions, and even closed to being a part of the body. Paul introduced the “body metaphor” in Ephesians, but I’m afraid too many church leaders have forgotten that teaching.

What would happen if a person raised their hand in the middle of a service and wanted to ask a question? They’d quietly be led out by a deacon or usher. Right?

At LRC I encourage people to ask questions! :-)
After decades of preaching, teaching, and and sermonizing, I’ve found that the greatest learning forum is where questions can be asked. They are not only good for the people, to help them think, but it really puts the preacher-teacher to the task. Why not?

I believe that one reason home churches are growing is because the informal setting allows people to interact and ask questions. But why can’t we also do that in small or medium sized churches as well?

We can! We are! We will!
