You might be asking yourself, what other kind of VOICE is there?
Or, we might ask that proverbial question that IF a tree fell in the forest and no one was there to hear it, would it make a sound?
Well, since sounds are vibrations could we simply say we felt it? Ah, but that’s not the question or direction here. The voice I am talking about is the DIVINE VOICE that is recorded in Genesis as having SAID, SPOKEN and things appeared. Generally when we speak of HEARING spiritual things we are talking about the SUBJECTIVE which would be concepts of inspiration and intuition for example.
Thoughts are from our EGO and not our ESSENCE (divine)
Now I have no proof that I have physically and audibly HEARD the VOICE of God; however, if the occasions wherein I felt I did, but yet didn’t, what the heck was that message and where did it come from anyway? For those that believe in the literalness of the Bible, we have to say yes, God does speak audibly.
>John 12:28 The people hear God speaking to Jesus
>II Peter 1:16-19 says that the disciples heard God speak to Jesus on two occasions (Baptism and Mount Transfiguration)
We’re also told in many ways that deep calls unto deep and that his sheep (a metaphor for his creations as in we humanoids) know His-Her VOICE although that KNOWING would not necessarily be audible. Seems like a good topic to freshen up on, don’tcha think?
