It’s amazing how we can read a principle that we know is right on adn then forget about it and fall into the trap of thinking it has nothing to do with ME!
I can’t tell you how many times I have been teaching a truth and seeing an individual in the class shake their head in agreement even though they are guilty of what I’m teaching. Somehow we just don’t see the consequences, we don’t realize that we’re the object, and we forget the “Frog In The Kettle” story.
Maybe the HEAT has completely numbed or destroyed our nerv endings.
Hebrews 13:9 warns us not the be carried away by strange doctrines and yet Sunday after Sunday we listen to some of the most incredible, hard-to-believe messages. Where is the disconnect? How is it that we can’t see and understand the following?
>Centuries of punishments, threats of hell, and consequences haven’t worked!
>Thinking we’re here to get ourselves RIGHT only hinders our journey
>Not seeing that worthiness codes are worthless.
>Not seeing ourselves as being on trial
>Escaping the “meritocracy madness” which misses Kingdom consciousness.
It’s way past time to accept who we are, why we are here and not be so preoccupied with how we are doing, living uo to church qualifications, and fixated on our individual salvation.
