I am sure that you’ve seen him as well as having been told about him in Sunday school and church. His picture is in almost every Protestant and charismatic church. He has brownish-blonde hair, silky smooth skin, blue eyes, and pearly white teeth (like the gates of heaven I suppose). In Catholic churches though he is frail, weak, and of course hanging on a cross though you can tell his Western features. Continue reading ‘The American Jesus!’
You know it! What goes around comes around! But, does it have to come around so often? Did Moses have to make all those meanderings around and around in the desert so often? Couldn’t Jericho have been knocked down with one or two encirclements? More practically why do we (I) have to repent so many times before I actually do repent? Continue reading ‘The Law Of Circulation’
For most of my childhood and young adult life, I wanted more than anything to go to heaven and be with Jesus. When I was a child I thought as a child, but now I have put away childish thoughts (some of them at least). I was reminded of how I’ve changed several years ago when having lunch with a stranger, he commented to me,” I can’t wait to die and go to heaven and meet Jesus.” Continue reading ‘You Can’t Go To Heaven’
Are you still nagging God! Are you asking God every day to show your kids how to be good, your husband to get saved, and for all of your bills to be met? If so, then I’d say you’re practiing the art of praying in unbelief. Jesus is our model. Jesus didn’t say please heal Lazarus. No, Jesus said THANK YOU for healing Lazarus. Now COME FORTH! Continue reading ‘The Prayer Of Unbelief!’
How was your day today? When I am asked that question, more often than not, it depends upon how long I got to lay in the swing. You see my swing time has become what many people call their prayer closet. I say mystical because it’s there that I find spiritual meaning or reality that is neither apparent to the senses nor obvious to the intelligence- God! Being! I AM! Continue reading ‘Mystical Swing Time’
We’re told the God is love! I accept that unequivally. I get it and therefore I don’t get justice and an eternal hell as some sort of “back up plan“. Love is in the bag. He’ll never leave me nor forsake me, I am the apple of His eye, and there’s nothing that can separate me from my Creator- ultimately. Okay, we don’t need to worry about that principle, but what about FAITH! Continue reading ‘The Risks & Rewards Of Faith’
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sought counsel because of unanswered prayer. I’m sure someone helped me, put a bandaid on my ego, but generally, no one seemed to have a very good answer. As a young Christian I was gullible enough to buy even the most anal answers, but then haven’t we all been on the learning curve that seems to never end? Continue reading ‘Unanswered Prayer Excuses’
Well, at least I hope you are! When we her that phase we take it as a negative, but let me give it to you in the spiritually positive spin. Jesus was the man who walked the earth some 2,000 years ago. He became the Christ- the Christos to which we’re to all become. He and the Father were one and that’s our raison d’etre as well. Continue reading ‘You’re Full Of It!’

God Loves The World!
It’s football season once more and do you know what that means, other than cooler weather? It means that when you watch a college or professional football game, and they’re getting ready to kick a field goal or extra point, that you’ll see a familiar sign in the stands. It will read- JOHN 3:16! And probably more often than not, the person holding the sign is one of the most intolerant persons you’ll ever meet! Continue reading ‘God Loves The World!’
