Only the God IN US can recognize and commune with “the God” of this universe. It takes BEING to know true BEING, the ground of all being, God the Father. Sound a little New Age? And what is new age? Isn’t this a new age? Are we still afraid of rainbows? Do we still want to live on the other side of the Euphrates, from whence we came? Or shall we live this side of the Cross where we can BE not only IN the light, but THE light?

We get to choose!

Rene Descartes (1596-1650) had it backwards. He said, “I think therefore I am (cogito ergo sum).” Sorry Charlie, er Rene. It’s more true to say, “I think therefore I AM NOT“! I can’t get to God, touch Him, feel Him, commune with Him with my MIND! The PRESENCE cannot be encountered or embraced with our intellect. God is SPIRIT residing within all of us and we must commune spiritually.

To be NOW HERE as the sage has said, we must be NOWHERE.

How does one sell that? To be precise, the modern-American church cannot, and so it does not. Instead we opt for cliches, ego building, CAN DO canned messages, 3-7 Steps to Success this or that, Power Living, and other messages that FEED the EGO nd tickle our ears. Many have taken up camp at the base of the tree of knowldge.” Some have even built tree houses in it!
