Figuring out life is no easy task. Most don’t try or simply give up after taking more detours than they can remember. Everyone has an idea and there are tens of thousands of denominations to affirm that statement. Let’s begin with the most basic and simplistic approach that we can take and then develop the results of such a conclusion. What have you got to lose?
There is a Creator and it’s not us!
There is a Designer in what has to be one of the most complex designs beyond the imagination of we homo sapien sapiens. One doesn’t build, design, or create without purpose. Thus, we are not here on accident. The Creator-Designer has a PLAN for His creations (that would be you and I). This Designer is benevolent. Listen, to take the malevolent approach is insanity, but I know a few do. 
It follows that our cooperation with the Designer will produce the best results, for to not do so goes against the purposes for which the design was created. Hang on now, this is simple logic.
For we who are the creations to decide what it is that WE WANT to do (name it and claim it) is like throwing sand in a fine-tuned engine. It won’t work. We don’t decide what we’re to do with our life. The Creator has already done that. Our job is to LISTEN, HEAR, and become so INTIMATE with the spiritual beings that we ARE, that we become ONE- the I AM that we and God ARE.
If you call yourself a Christian (a follower of Jesus), then that’s what He did, and what we should do!
Jesus didn’t go off on His own, He didn’t decide what He wanted, nor did He do His own thing, but only that which He saw the Creator doing and saying. Laying down our life means picking up the life that the Creator planned and built us for to live. His plan is better than any plan you or I have. To believe that takes FAITH! Becoming ONE with the I AM doesn’t happen over night and did I mention it is a very scary thing to do as well?
