Birthing A Spiritual Awakening?
I don’t know how you do it. Were it to happen at LRC, I couldn’t write a book or tell someone how in seven steps it was accomplished.. Sometimes stuff just happens. Some call it critical mass, but how did it happen. Some call it the tipping point, to which I have the same question. This I feel certain that I heard though. LRC is a corporate midwife and we ARE in the extended birth pangs of an unique spiritual awakening.
There are unique awakenings, visitations, and movements to which we have no clue as to why or what, but they just happen. I’m reminded of Hush Puppies. Hush Puppies you say? Yep, the shoes.
In 1994 the makers of Hush Puppies were contemplating shutting down the brand. After all they were selling barely 30,000 shoes in that year. While discussing how to phase out the brand, along came 1995 and for some crazy reason, everyone seemed to want a pair. Corporate wasn’t doing anything different, other than considering how to phase the shoes out. But in 1995 they sold 435,000 pairs and they could barely meet the demand.
In 1996, they sold 1,700,000 pair of those darned shoes.
And off they went. Advertising? Strategy? Luck? No one knows and no one cares; however, what we do know is that this is not an exception but a commonly repeated scenario in various products, services, and life in general. It’s hard to put such things under either what’s called critical mass or a tipping point; however, stuff (good stuff as well) does come out of nowhere from time to time, and all one needs to do is ride that horse and try not to get bucked off.
I may be far off base. Maybe not.
But, what I feel is happening is akin to a pressure build up along a fault line (ours). There will come a time when all of a sudden, what’s been difficult, painful, and even considered a failure to most, bursts forth in glorious power and might- His!
Practice your breathing. And I’m not talking Lamaze.
