Lead an irresponsible lifestyle and expect financial problems. Don’t get yourself into debt and then ask God to get you out, and then get mad at Him when He doesn’t miraculously save your bacon. Quit looking to God to be your personal valet, your genie, or material mascot. In fact, if you want to get it right, quit looking at God as a BEING, a HE, a PERSON, WARRIOR, KING, or whatever other metaphors you choose to “objectify“. Here’s why.
God is SPIRIT!
We might say yeah and amen initially, but then we go back to old behavior patterns that say the opposite. Remember, this is the 7th day of creation and so therefore God is RESTING! It’s all been done already. You possess and have ALL you need NOW! Now as in this moment.
You don’t go to God for supply, He IS supply!
You don’t go to God for health, He IS health!
You don’t go to God for peace, He IS peace!
You don’t got to God for love, He IS love!
The only lack or need that we have in our life is in our failure to spend the time to get to KNOW what it IS that we NOW have (God), and thus avail ourselves of it-God, His Spirit, Consciousness, etc.
Whatever your financial needs are GO WITHIN (that’s where the Kingdom IS). Seek first the Kingdom (God) as Matthew 6:33 tells us, and THEN all those THINGS we need (Matthew 6:31) are provided.

Pastor Ernie- when I read this article I come to a relization that God has given us his likeness. We are made in his image exactly as the Bible says, this is we have Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Nisse, and Jesus Christ. When we learn to seek the Comforter or the Holy Spirit in times of trouble, the one Jesus Christ sent before he returned to heaven, we will find our supply. The Holy Spirit is whom we seek, in him like Pslams says we regain our strength.
Financial trouble is not the end of a situation, but if we read Proverbs and learn from it we can find very practical information concerning how to live a balanced life. Many people here in America don’t have good families and have been raised poorly whereas others from other nations have had family support and stability, and because they are in the jist of stability and routine they easily conform to any environment. However, we are off track when we say that God is not our loving provider for in Jehovah Jirah we have all our needs met, Jesus Christ states so in Matthew as well.
I have full confidence in Jesus Christ that my needs will be met, and as I write this I have had 90% of them met. I am holding employment in Fulshear, Texas as a construction worker, and I am learning what it is like to earn my dollar. Jesus Christ never stated that we lacked freewill, but in his merciful nature we can find our Abba Father supplying our spiritual and practical needs. It is when we become spiritually dry as we all have that we forget that God is our provider, for he provided the Hebrews manna in the desert as they roamed until God had seen it fit for them to enter the promised Land.
Jesus Christ continues to provide our needs as refelcted in the New Testament when he is crucified upon the cross and ressurected by Almighty God.
Jesus Christ is Lord!
Jehovah Jirah is our provider!
God is providing for me, is he providing for you?
Trust in the name of Jesus Christ through faith and be healed . (Hebrews 11)
May you continue to realize He is as cloee as every breath you take.
