Several years ago we discovered something that caused us to ask if MEMBERSHIP was right for our CHURCH.

Deeper yet, the question arose as to if being a spiritual community might be more of the journey that we were on than that of a traditional church where so many CONTROLS dictated what could or could not happen. I mean, could a Jew or a Buddhist be a MEMBER of a Christian Church?

Methodists could be in a Baptist church and no one would care.

But, what do you do when you discover that one of your families with two beautiful children doesn’t fit the norm? How can a Christian wife and a MUSLIM husband be part of the MEMBERSHIP? That was the question we had to ask, and answer. Were we going to be EXCLUSIVE or INCULSIVE?

Membership in a Christian church for a Muslim caused many questions; however, there were no problems with such in a “spiritual community”.

So, we dropped the concept of MEMBERS and membership (where much is about control) and took on the paradigm of PARTICIPANTS. Whomsoever wants to participate (your choice) can jump in and BE whatever you ARE! We’re not here to change or control you, but to journey through life with you.

In times of trouble when demons mount an attack and things look grim, who you gonna call?

The Ghostbusters!

But after you call them, who are you gonna call? Do you have a God, someone or something that’s bigger than demons, larger than life to give you a hand (metaphorically speaking of course). Is life just one big chance after another? When your child gets sick, can you get help from someone other than a doctors?

If you do believe in a God, how much influence do you have with him or her, or it? Can you call upon this Force (as George Lucas called it in the Star Wars films) with any degree of certainty? Is everything pre-programmed, set in concrete, pre-ordained, or do you play a role in how your life turns out?

Does FREE WILL go beyond choosing the make and color of your next car?

Open Theism says that God is personal and open to influence through your prayers. God is able to anticipate the future, yet remains fluid to respond to mans free will and those acts or decisions contrary or advantageous to God’s plan.

Are we stuck in personal and collective karma fields or can we escape?

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the for-sure answers? Or how about just some darn good logical arguments backed up with some personal stories that give evidence to your paradigms? It is one of life’s critical questions. Who are you gonna call- in time of need?

Well, we are now into February, and how many of the New Year resolutions are still in play?

You know the usual resolutions: lose weight, eat better, make more money, and get in better physical shape. Of course any one of those just mentioned is an effort, much less three or four at the same time. Can’t we just take a PILL? Maybe one day that will be possible, but not yet.

Yesterday a friend told me about a machine that you can just stand on and you’ll not only lose weight, but increase brain activity, enhance bone strength, etc.

Right!

As hard as what i have mentioned might be the spiritual WORK OUT is much more difficult. It’s called MEDITATION. Yes, reading and praying are good, but being STILL and LISTENING (or what I can attuneing to the universe) is the greatest workout that one can ever do.

So, how much time did you take to meditate yesterday? Tell me about your DAILY WORKOUT and I’ll tell you about your spiritual life without tarot cards or palm reading.

Every day when we get up we begin a journey within the cocoon that surrounds our body that’s called the “etheric body“. Our physical bodies could not exist without such and that body (Spirit) will go on after our physical body has long since decayed.

You do believe in life after death don’t you?

Ah, but what kind of life!

We are not only encased within this “field” but we are also a part of the field of everyone we come in contact with throughout the day, and more importantly a part of the “collective field”- Universal consciousness if you will. Most important of all though is that every day we have the responsibility for what we might create: knowingly or otherwise.

We are co-creators, way beyond anything we imagine.

Rupert Sheldrake calls such “creationism”, MORPHIC FIELDS. According to this concept, the morphic field underlies the formation and behavior of holons and morphic units, and can be set up by the repetition of similar acts or thoughts. The hypothesis is that a particular form belonging to a certain group, which has already established its (collective) morphic field, will tune into that morphic field. It’s akin to the 100th monkey paradigm (no time to go there here).

Sound like Greek to your?

Every government, state, city, civic group, church, corporation, and community has the potential for discovering and creating something new: and we are, it’s just that we are seldom aware of what in the hell we’re doing. If we were to take each day and every moment with an increased AWARENESS as to WHO we are and what POTENTIAL we truly have, we’d realize that we’re CREATING LIFE, without even trying.

Wonder what might happen if we lived life PURPOSEFULLY?

If you think that you’re high up the food chain, or pretty sharp when it comes to understanding things of life, I have a question. Who is it that you have been allowing to “chip away” at all your junk?

Make sure the WHO is plural also!

Ancient wisdom says that iron sharpens iron. Hillary and Barack did that four years ago in preparation for the general election. Mitt and Newt are doing that now in preparation for Obama. Mitt got a debate coach between South Carolina and Florida and it made a major difference.

Unfortunately, church life doesn’t sharpen us: it DULLS you!

Most denominational churches are into cloning. It is so obvious that one can determine which denomination a person belongs to by their speech, dress, and hair style as a couple of examples.

Who do you listen to and who do you allow to “get in your face” (in a loving way) and challenge you? Are you able to listen to contrarian views with the true intent to understand? Can you take the Stephen Covey approach: “Seek first to understand before seeking to be understood”?

If you truly want to be sharp as a tack, you’re going to have to have all those rough edges shaved off, worn down, and a fine point put on your view of life. Are you really up for that?

Most religions around the world (thankfully not all) have camped out around the two-dimensional concept know as the Flatlands.

Everything is measured along depth and width or as religion has so adopted: good vs. evil, heaven vs. hell, us vs. them, and white vs. black! Thankfully we live in a multi-dimensional world (String theory would say 10 or 11 dimensions). We live in a world that is holographic.

While many religions can’t even agree to their being a GREY, those of the spiritual ilk live in technicolor.

What’s more, even the scientific community adheres to a monodimensional academic worldview. Many still cling to the Newtonian physics paradigm while dismissing the Quantum physics findings. Living in denial or adhering to long-ago non-functional dogmas and doctrines doesn’t make things more real. It totally screws up your life- ALL of it.

Come out of the flatland deserts of the world and step into the richness of the rolling hills lush with color and vegetation. It’s a choice and you do have FREE WILL in that arena.

Every now and then the veil gets thinner: that sheet that separates the physical from the spiritual.

Sometimes we tap into that other world which is really our home, but it’s not when we plan it, try to get our mind into it, or otherwise use the “arm of the flesh” (as the church says) to manifest it. It’s not by power or might, but by the Spirit. That said, much does get done here on planet earth- BY power and might.

Nut, what is it that’s getting done?

I seem to be hearing Bible verses right now. I have created a lot of things that are surely wood, hay, and stubble. But, it’s that gold, silver and precious stones that we need to be manifesting. But, in order to do that, we must open ourselves up, be vulnerable, let people in, and otherwise have what i call porous thinking that allows people in, especially allowing the Spirit in.

Einstein was credited with the principle, “You can’t solve the problem with the same thinking that created the problem in the first place.”

And then someone else said, “You can’t expect change in your life without changing what you’ve been doing.”

Most everyone would agree with both of those statements; however, it’s like the third statement that says, “Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die.”

It’s unfortunate that the institution that’s been created to take us into the spiritual realm and world is one of the most conservative and resistant to change. We the church, the people, need to be anything but NORMAL. Now, don’t go where I know you could with that. The world looks at much of the church as WEIRD; however, I’m taking a different approach.

The church needs to embrace the PARANORMAL and ditch much of the DOGMA!

Paranormal is most often defined as, “Beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation: such paranormal phenomena as telepathy.” The NORMAL has increasingly made the traditional church less and less influential (SALTY if you will). We need to move in language before deed: such as-

>From get a witness to feel the vibration
>From prayed up to chakras cleansed
>From flesh to ego
>From intercessory prayer to remote viewing

If you can’t see the distinctions and ramifications, work on it, become a little more radical in your thinking, and take a walk on the paranormal path.

We have walked into a box canyon and there is no way of escape (from our own demons and egoic mis-directions) short of radical transformation.

There is a deep revolution of consciousness underway on our planet. It is both a good thing and a bad thing. Our world and civilization is a product of our ego. That should not find too much disagreement if any at all. That statement though has consequences. It says that this world wherein we currently reside cannot be saved in its current form.

Does this sound akin to the movie(s), The Matrix?

yes, we do live in an Ego Matrix, but there is a collective revolutionary consciousness underway. We need to let it play out no matter how painful because to try and abort it is a worse death. At the core of this fragmented consciousness that needs to be healed and made whole is the need to:

>End wars
>Abort the central banking system and fiat money
>Move to bottom up governments
>Accept diversity in all areas as divine planning
>Allow mystery to reign over certitude

Saying those things, identifying what they mean, and then living-walking it out are very different in emotional impact. Know what I’m saying?

I wonder if even I do!

It seems that too many of us religious types (me included, but not so much anymore) minor on the majors and major on the minors!

Say what?

Instead of plumbing the depths of love, mercy, grace and being those things to everyone around us, we get off on things that no one can prove, nor are they very helpful in living out our daily life. So, let me add to that mix by the following brief observation.

Everyone has an OPINION! Here’s mine.

I try to be OPEN to every thought or idea and thus I say that I am open to the idea of reincarnation while still finding it a difficult concept to accept. For the sake of brevity I am not going to get into the various FORMS of reincarnation, but stick to the general principle.

>Have I lived a previous life? Not here on earth.
>Will I have to relive my life here again? I hope not!

How can we explain people who remember living through the French Revolution or being a aide to one of the early Popes? My answer is simple.

>We are ONE!
>Life is a hologram

Thus I have the ability to know about the life of everyone who as ever existed, or will come into being. It’s called retro-cognition. From time to time we all TAP IN to another time, another place, and wow is that ever scary.

I said I would be brief.
