Accepting the Scriptures as sacred, but not literal is simply too much of a jump for some people. We here in technologically driven America and the digitally oriented West, not to mention the Aristotelian thinking logic, are just too empirically driven to handle mystical truths. We can. We just don’t want to, and we’re afraid what that might mean if we did. Continue reading ‘Sacred Stories’

Most religions, especially the big three are THEISTIC in nature. There are degrees of theism of course; however, for most God is simply OUT THERE somewhere and when we gete desperate, when we realize we’re not in control, we PRAY TO this deity and every now and then He responds, and answer our prayers. It’s not a frequent response though. Continue reading ‘Incarnational Living’
We who call ourselves Christians are supposed to be modeling the one who went by the name JESUS and who became the CHRIST. And it is within those two names that we become immediately confused, thinking those are His first and last names when in reality they speak of His two natures. He was not the son of Joseph & Mary Christ! Continue reading ‘The Non Dual Jesus’
It seems as though he WORLD is prophetically hearing what the Spirit is saying while he church and other religious entities are growing more deaf or seemingly unable to HEAR what the Spirit is saying- the CONSCIOUSNESS that we are, that I AM. I’m not saying those who are hearing are understanding, but we, someone surely should be. Continue reading ‘We Will Survive!’
We have fallen prey to so much dualism that even when we’re in the forest we can’t locate any trees. Various religions, and their adherents, are so in love with their God (the one they have created in their imaginations) that they’ll kill anyone else who doesn’t agree with their God. This is nothign new; however, fundamentalism in the last one hundred years has forced a new duality on Christianity. Continue reading ‘Logos & Rhema’
Richard Rohr has a community in New Mexico called Action & Contemplation. He has mastered the concept of both-and or and-also that Walter Starcke has. From neighboring Texas, Walter Starcke professes the title of one of his books, The Double Thread. Instead of trashing and trying to beat the hell out of the flesh, both men adhere to a reverence for our humanity and our divinity. Continue reading ‘Action & Contemplation’
Everyone has some degree of rejection going on in their life. Some suffer from so much rejection that they need to be institutionalized- and are. Some suffer from rejection and don’t know it. That they don’t have any long term relationships just doesn’t seem to sink in as having been caused by their rejecting others before they think they’ll be rejected. But, acceptance can be a bigger problem. Continue reading ‘Acceptance & Rejection’
A good attorney will find a way to insert a mental picture into a trial that he knows is emotionally powerful, but one that’s not legal. Of course the opposing counsel will OBJECT! The Judge will sustain the objection and then tell the jury to ignore the statement being overruled. It’s too late, the picture, the thought has been planted. And we do it to ourselves every day! Continue reading ‘Law Of Substitution!’
We so badly want (can you say NEED) to be RIGHT! The ego is a powerful, powerful force to reckon with, especially when we’re not even aware of the egoic presence. But, here’s the hard and naked TRUTH that we all need to deal with. That which we are EXPERIENCING (poverty, abundance, or anything in between) is nothing more and nothing less than our thoughts and beliefs OBJECTIFIED! Our life! Continue reading ‘Beliefs Objectified!’

The Cosmic Scapegoat
In some ways, very little has changed since humanhood was established on terra firma. Nothing is our fault and everything bad is because of someone who did us wrong song. Blame shifting can be seen everyday. Our most recent classic example was hurricane Katrina where Bush blamed Governor Blanco, Blanco blamed mayor Nagin, all liberals blamed Bush, whites blamed blacks, blacks blamed the corps of engineers, and another one hundred people blamed another thousand people. Someone has to pay! Continue reading ‘The Cosmic Scapegoat’
