The book of Lamentations has been badly served by the title it carries in our English versions. For it is not a collection of breast-beating self-pitying poems, a mere lamenting of the sorry state of Jerusalem and its inhabitants. It is rather the record of a Hebrew poet’s coping with crisis, a deeply reflected proposal for the handling of grief. Most attribute the authorship to Jeremiah, but here’s the point I want to make today. Continue reading ‘What’s To Lament?’

We know that God is love, truth, life, etc. But, “Harmonious Principle“? What the heck is that? There are principles of life that exist regardless: regardless of place, time, or circumstances. And, that’s the way God is. Regardless of day, month, year, circumstances, you can count on God being not only GOOD, but in harmony with all that is good, ALL the time. Consider this logic. Continue reading ‘The Harmonious Principle’
Who is this Jesus of Nazareth? Other than the fact that He’s the most written about indvidual in all of history, how’d this man get to be so famous? Sure, we measure time around His birth. We’ve discovered that He was born a little earlier than we originally thought, but the change from BC-AD to BCE-CE doesn’t change the fact that the world is measured by the time He entered this world’s stage. No man has been more studied than His life and He only lived for some 33 years of which we don’t know of 85% of it. Beyond the statistics- the facts- the data, what’s Jesus mean to ME? Continue reading ‘A Personal Testimony’
People can get lathered up over John 14:6, and do! Jesus is the WAY! Ok, so what does that mean? Christians will tell you that unless you confess JAY-ZUS, never mind that His name was Yeshua, you’re going to hell. And you’ll burn there in eternal torment. Wanna confess His name now. Since when did fear and intimidation become the salvistic method of choice? <!–more–>

When you really start looking at Jesus through 4th dimensional glasses, and ultimately you have to if you want to attain any degree of enlightenment here on earth, the fuzzy logic of the fundamentalists begin to fade away!
Hallelujah!
What in the world is that WAY then, besides the name of Jesus or is that all it means?
The WAY is not logical!
The WAY in unconventional.
The WAY isn’t traditional at all.
The WAY cannot be boxed and totally defined.
And here’s the kicker, the WAY is not religuious, but spiritual!
Jesus actually lays it out for us if we want the specifics. In Matthew 7:21, we’re told that Jesus says you’re not on the right path just because you proclaim His name! Say what? You mean that day I went before the church and said I was giving my life to jesus wasn’t enough?
That’s what Jesus is saying, not me!
He goes on in that twenty first verse and says that only those who does the will of the Father, the Spirit, the Consciousness of the universe. My translation is this. The RELIGION of Jesus, as is summed up by PAUL, is not how you gain entry into the Kingdom, but Don’t tell me that! Sorry Charlie.
Salvation is not a one time woo-hoo!
Neither is it a warrior like Hoo-Ahh!
No, you have to walk the WAY! You have to resonate with the universal and eternal truth of the Spirit. That’s what Jesus taught- aligning yourself with the WILL of the Spirit! Any, and I mean ANY religion or religious group that says that they know all and contain all the truth, has actually gotten in the WAY of the truth and now block it! Any group that divides people is working against the Kingdom of God!
He’s speaking now: you listening?
In many ways, Christians are not following Jesus, the Christ but Paul and a lot of the early church fathers. I’m not saying that any of them didn’t have anything to say, but I find it strange when I relate to people the actual true HISTORY of how the Bible was put together and who really influences most of it. Let me give you a couple of quick examples. Continue reading ‘Jesus Who?’
Unfortunately the church taught me to judge even though Jesus said not to. The church gave me a list of primarily things NOT to DO, though Jesus gave me two things TO DO! Jesus did so many things that the church never mentions and also does so many things that He didn’t do that it does mention. What’s up with all that? Continue reading ‘Smile, Don’t Frown!’
If there is anything that’s brought me great comfort in the last few years it is the realization of how much God loves me and how much He wants to be involved in my life. Why wouldn’t He? He created me for a purpose- His! Which means He didn’t create me for what I and my ego wanted to do. CLICK HERE for more on that. Life can be peaceful and happy as long as we’re pleased with His plans! Continue reading ‘He Wants To Help’
It should say something to us. If you look upon history is BC-AD or if you’re more modern and look upon history is BCE-CE, it’s all the same: unless you’re terribly religious and intolerant. Jesus is the standard. He lived and His life is now our pattern and model. And in what ways? Continue reading ‘Our Challenge’
For way too much of my life I found myself trying to live up to God’s standards. I was taught that God wanted this, Jesus wanted that, and of course my church wanted whatever was left over. Crap! A guy can’t win for losing. Sunday was a day straight from hell- activity wise. I used to go to church ALL day Sunday with an exception of lunch in the afternoon and then that was with church people. Sunday school, church, lunch, change clothes, church deacon meeting, Training Union, and then Sunday evening church. Day of REST you say? Sunday? Give me a break- please somebody, help me! Continue reading ‘A “Being” Driven Approach’
I’ve been all over the place in my thinking about God. I guess one could logically expect that. He’s infinite and we’re finite- so why not? God’s out there somewhere hiding behind a huge star. God’s done His work here on earth and He’s done with us. I am God. God help! Continue reading ‘From No-where To Now-here’
