Abracadabra!

Thus saith the Lord! Ever been around someone who is constantly using that phrase? Wonder how it is that they have such a hot line to God? Or is this just one of those “catch phrases“, a tick of sort. Maybe a habit? Surely God spreads His voice around to more people. And then there’s this one- “In Jesus’ Name“. What about His name? Continue reading ‘Abracadabra!’

Jesus Was And Is

I want to look only at some of the characteristics of Jesus. He was so much of who we are not. Now, since we call Jesus our pattern Son, what’s up with that? Or could it be that who and how Jesus was 2,000 years ago in His culture is impossible to be in our culture. Sounds like a good excuse, but I don’t think it really flies. Continue reading ‘Jesus Was And Is’

How Low Can We Go?

You have to ask yourself. Did he shoot 5 or 6 times? Is the gun empty or is there one shell left? Are you aware that we’ve been playing Russian roulette for way too long? Who knows if there’s a bullet in the chamber or not? When Paul said 2,000 years ago that there was a falling away going on (II Thes. 2:3), you have to wonder just how far away we’ve fallen- how low we can go? Continue reading ‘How Low Can We Go?’

A Journey To Where?

It may go without saying; however, we need to be reminded from time to time, that in a journey, direction is critical! So, what direction are you headed? What’s the needle on the compass say, where’s it pointing? Is it steady and on true North? Or is it jerking back and forth every time some new thought comes into your head, or when a new idea is contemplated? And then the question, is where are you headed anyway? Continue reading ‘A Journey To Where?’

What’s Your View Of God?

Most people say things about how they view God, what their belief is in God is, and yet they have never really questioned WHY they believe as they do, or WHERE they got those views! Unfortunately, living within the deeply divided religious groups that we do, loyalty to ones denomination trumps even asking a question about God! Questions scare those who have never thought about asking why- to anything. Continue reading ‘What’s Your View Of God?’

Why Are You Cast Down?

Psalms 42:5 asks the question as to why we are so downcast? Why is the soul so into having a pity party? What’s the problem here, why all of these sighs, groans, and moans? I know, you’re late on the car payment again, you’re going to fall behind on the mortgage once more. It’s tiring isn’t it? Isn’t it! Continue reading ‘Why Are You Cast Down?’

Living Life To The Fullest

My Jesus and my God is everyone’s God. There is but one God. There is but one power- God! Now when I say that, I am tearing down a lot more religious scaffolding that you might first imagine. If there is only one God, one power, then what’s up with all the power American Christianity ascribes to Satan? What’s this hell thing? :-)   Continue reading ‘Living Life To The Fullest’

Supernatural Power

Surely you have had days where you wondered. Haven’t you? Who came up with all of this stuff? Are religions all alike. Don’t they all play the “myth card“? The myth story is there in every religion, every culture. A supernatural power from “out there” comes to earth to save us from the evil one. Light drives out darkness. It’s just that each religion packages it’s players a little differently, but in the end, it’s the same game. Continue reading ‘Supernatural Power’

Loving God

What can eventually grow to 200,000 times its weight? I got all of the zeros right now. The answer, a watermelon seed. Tell me, how does a black seed, stuck in dirt, draw nutrients from the soil, pull water from the ground, absorb sunlight from the sky, accumulate the right amount of minerals, and grow into a twenty to thirty pound delicious watermelon. Only God! Continue reading ‘Loving God’

Man Made God

Who is your god? Are you really able to say, to know? This web site is my meager and weak attempt to express and put into words who My Jesus and My God are. I am so thankful to so many people who have opened doors to God that had handles I was too short to reach. I have also been able to stand on the shoulders of so many that have lifted me up so I could see beyond even where they had sight. I pray that I can return the favor to others, and that one day there would be a generation that could truly do greater miracles than Jesus: as He prophecied. Continue reading ‘Man Made God’
