To say that there are differences between East and West, Oriental and Occidental, is an understatement; however, it’s the West that’s currently making the greatest changes. Is it because they need to or because they’re just going through a great transformation? The changes are both spiritual and scientific.
The many current scientific models are 300 years old and the most religious models are 1,500 to 3,500 years old.
Many scientists continue to oppose the concept of an energy-based universe. It’s the same with most main line denominations; however, it should be easier for them realizing that spirit and energy, spirit and field are the same principles with different words. Most importantly though that which the fathers of religion did not and could not know, science now shows the way.
It’s really hard for science to continue to deny FACTS!
As John James wrote, “The deeper implications of knowing that we are both field and matter have slowly seeped in to a wider Western consciousness. In the past twenty years there has been an accelerating scientific investigation into these things.” There is also an openness and acceptance of non- traditional interpretations of Scriptures and a falling away from the many indefensible positions taken by a literalist interpretation of the Bible.
Getting East and West together while getting spirit and science to communicate could give to the world the UNTIY that it has been so desperately needs. After all, if there is anything that we’re realizing today, it is that we are ALL ONE. We live in a holographic universe created by One Consciousness which we all share.
