Christian Dogma

Was there a specific season or era when those whom called themselves Christians, quit following the man Jesus, the Christ and instead started following the doctrine and dogma of man’s egoic intellectualization. It seems that there’s no end to the fragmentation and divisiveness that man can create and embrace. Worst of all, it seems that there is no hatred unworthy of doing in those that disagree with our position.

How do we make our way back to the lifestyle of this man history calls Jesus?

He advocated a new way of living life, which He called the Kingdom of God. Some of the principles that were to be followed were mercy and forgiveness. We were to exercise compassion towards everyone- even our enemies (no matter how strange and difficult that might be). Forgiveness as a key element of those who wanted to live a Kingdom life.

At the heart of this Kingdom was the “constitution of the Kingdom“, found in Matthew 5,6,and 7.

Why have we come up with so many dos and don’ts? Why do we demand a myraid of laws when Jesus simply said all that we needed to do was two specific things. In Matthew 22, Jesus is reported as saying that we should simply just LOVE God, and LOVE our neighbors. Loving God is subjective: loving man is objective. How we have obscured the simply GRACE of the Kingdom message by endless and mindless rules and laws that have no end.

Everyone is eventually coming to the party so don’t worry about who’s not here yet, or who is that you might offend you. No one offends God.

The GOOD NEWS is that eventually His Kingdom will prevail. One day there will a new heaven and a new earth.

Let’s quit puttering around in our legalism, dogma, and doctrine and dive head first into the His love!
