Creating Our Future

What I did this morning is changing my day and having a great impact on this year. For that matter what I did this morning was nothing unusual other than it affected my destiny. Say what? Yep, I PRAYED! Some mornings, I get nothing at all and other mornings, I can’t sit still due to all the illuminations that break forth. And, it’s not something I only do in the morning. I am writing this at 11:30 am Wednesday (for a Thursday am post time). And I am writing because of the “message” that just came to me- to share with you.

Who Wants Cheaper Insurance?

The only way that I can make it through “liminal space” is by prayer, meditation, and silence before and in the presence of God, the One with ALL the answers.

In our superstitious paradigms about the Bible, we’ve made it into more of a fortune-telling book than it is or should be labelled. And to add insult to injury, we have all these crazy pseudo-prophetic types predicting the end of the world: over and over again.

The only end of the world is their private one- called death. :-(
If the future was totally arranged, a done deal, then what’s the USE of PAYER? Why pray? Why did Jesus spend so much time praying? Prayer “always” changes my ATTITUDE. Prayer might not change the circumstances, though I know that it frequently does; however, it always changes my emotional state.

Being with God does that!

How and you and God doing in the creating of your day today? :-)

No truer words spoken when you stated that “prayer changes our attitudes”. I recently experienced what I thought was going to be a BIG dissappointment to me, but any of the emotions I was allowing to filter through my mind was separating me further and further from God’s peace and rest within me; that sadden me and it quickly brings tears to my eyes to think I am not in sync with my Abba Father God, so I let it go, it then became not as important as I thought it was to me. But it was through prayer I was able to give it to Abba and let Him work it out. Learning to just BE is so much more important and lasting, you stay in peace and rest within your soul, your spirit, and in your mind.
