Creative Thinking

The title above may sound too difficult, but what you’re about to read is far from that. Let’s face it, we live in a cesspool of negative stories, horrific crimes against one another, and many doomsday scenarios. Is this as good as it gets, the way life is supposed to be, of is there another way to live? Is it possible to protect yourself and yet not live in denial? My answer is yes, and why aren’t we?

Who Wants Cheaper Insurance?

It seems that our lives are way to short.

About the time we think we’ve figured life out, we’re too old (we tell ourselves). Hakeen Olajuwon said that he really discovered the inner game of basketball in his tenth season just when his physical skills were starting t leave him. Ah, but we’re not playing basketball, so our competition is not hundreds of millions of people.

What we need to focus on and realize is that we’re responding to the effects of life and not embracing or operating in the “causative” side of life. Our thoughts are causative factors. If we allow the world’s negativity to wash over us day in and day out, we’ll wind up being as misrable (or dead) as the people we read about and what’s happened to them.

Deal with the cause, not the effects!

And for me, that means adopting the “mind of Christ”. I’m not sure what all that means but therein is the journey- to find out what Jesus meant about the GOOD NEWS. As you look at His life, He didn’t focus or concentrate on sin as the church is want to do. He didn ‘t dwell on what was wrong with people, He simply said, go and don’t mess up again. He didn’t travel the road of the trivia such as worring about what day it was to heal or washing His hands before He ate.

Our consciousness is the womb out of which life flows!

So, what are you thinking, what are you cooking up in your consciousness? How did you begin this day? We all begin each day with two options. We can take in the latest news and negative effects out there from the world (crap!), or we can be still and know-hear what our Creator has to say to us. I can tell you this. What He says will be more positive, not positive thinking, but positive being.

For me- that’s a no brainer!

I’m going with the creative thinking of the Creator!
