Charles Tart is an American psychologist and parapsychologist known for his psychological work on the nature of consciousness (particularly altered states of consciousness), as one of the founders of the field of transpersonal psychology, and for his research in scientific parapsychology. He has a Ph. D. in psychology by the way.
His work is just one of many that says that we’re consciously living dangerously.
In hooking two people up to a polygraph and other brain wave devices, placed in separate rooms, and told to GUESS when the person in another room was SHOCKED by an electrical current, the individual failed miserably. However, the body registered the shocks to the nano-second.

Because we have been told how to live by society and not by the divine voice within, we’ve become cultural mutants, separated from our true self and nature. We have been blessed to have savants, sages, and unique individuals come to show us how to live (can you say Jesus?), but instead we’ve opted for the dangerous pseudoreality called RELIGION.
