I BELIEVE in miracles! I can do that because first of all I AM a miracle and secondly, I have touched and been a part of a MAJOR HEALING MIRACLE. So, you can tell me whatever you want, but a person with an EXPERIENCE is never at the mercy of a person with a doctrine.
However did Jesus “lift off” planet earth for heaven and will he “fly back” touching down atop some mountain?
Let’s go a bit deeper. Did Jesus walk through walls and yet eat in what’s called a “glorified body”? I’m really not talking about the miracles of walking on water, turning water into wine (I sure like that one though), putting ears back on people who had one chopped off, or generally healing the sick (a large category that includes physical, emotional, and spiritual illness). The hidden DUALISTIC paradigm here is YES or NO!
Do you believe in ALL the miracles, which means, do you believe everything you read in the Bible as LITERAL, or can there be a little wiggle room for a metaphor here and there? Can one believe in the MIRACULOUS and not necessarily believe that all the miracles that are in the Bible were literal, true, or factual?
Let’s take Matthew 27:50-53 as a place where I depart from Bible literalness!
The King James Version reads, “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many”.
I don’t think so!
But, what I would accept is that there are some who are reading this and many others throughout the world who are “dead men & women walking”, who think they are alive. Get my drift?
