One can find all manner of advertisements to lead one into enlightenment. The whole of various religions (can you say Buddhism?) is for that very purpose. Attend this seminar and be enlightened.
Richard Rohr adds, “I cannot find a single example in male stories where a man comes to enlightenment by taking a course. In mythological traditions, the young man cannot reach enlightenment until he has sustained some wounds, experienced disappointments, and confronted baffling paradoxes. This is where wisdom happens”.
Quite simply, the Bible says that ENLIGHTENMENT is “the seed of a woman”. Say what?
In the beginning (Genesis),the battle is between the WOMAN and the SERPENT. In the end (Revelation) the battle is between the WOMAN and the DRAGON. And in the end, the victory goes to the WOMAN and her SEED! The serpent and dragon are metaphors for ERROR!
Wrong thinking!
As we go through life we should become awakened to the LIES of life, to the NEGATIVE thinking that brings FEAR, and causes us to not see the recognition of the fact that we are indeed the divine sons of God. This is the TRUTH to which Jesus said would set us FREE. We are both the Son of man and the Son of God. The whole of the Bible from beginning to end is a telling and a retelling of the stories of YOU and ME.
“De te fabula narrator”…….Of you the tale is told!
Enlightenment doesn’t happen overnight, nor from any course or one Master. Enlightenment is a coming into agreement that GOD IS ONE and that there is no TWO, nor ZERO! There is but ONE and thus we are not separate and could never be separate. When realized the door of enlightenment begins to slowly crack open, and life is never the same!
