Hermes purse forum

I can’t imagine not seeing or calling God my Father! But, I am okay with thinking of Him as Spirit as well. After all, that’s what Jesus said in Luke 4:18. But here’s where I am coming from.

What I am about to say will cause great angst among many, especially fundamentalists; however (I say this in love) I’ve long since given up on thinking I could ever make them happy with my life style. There are hermes purse forum just too many “to do lists” and rules I can’t even remember.

I’m living by grace!  :-)

I am not a deist as Jefferson and most founding fathers were.

I am no longer a theist but struggling to get beyond theism (click here if you want to know more).

I am not a pantheist! I don’t see God and universe as one!

I’m closer to a “panentheist“, but I’m not all together certain of that. The definition (click here) comes clsoe. Some illustrations and the Scriptures make it seemingly so. I’m a fish in the ocean, which is God. Then there’s Acts 17:28 as a proof-text of sorts.

So, while God is truly a Spirit, and not a person (come on now, be real), I emotionally need the metaphor of a father. How about you?  :-)
