We do you know. Whatever you concentrate on your find, if you stick with it long enough. But there’s that which we consciously seek and that which we’re subconsciously in pursuit. Add to that the proclivity for embracing the “herd instinct” and you have a formula for a bad ending. Are you in a real search for transformation, or are you just looking to be approved by some group or denomination. Is the false self staying in charge or are you determined to discover who you really are in Jesus?
How do we know how much of our current spiritual state is real- the true self? How can we accurately judge our real motives and intentions with a certain degree of objectivity? We an start with our EGO!
Do you feel you are in control of your destiny? I hope not!
Do you see day as being about you? You’re in trouble if you do.
Do you feel life owes you something? It doesn’t.
Do you think life should be fair? It isn’t and won’t be!
Do you expect to be treated like everyone else? Forgetdaboutdit!
Do you want an intimate relationship with Jesus? Now we’re talking turkey! 
God created us for relationship with Him! How incredible is that? He’s waiting for you to stop reading this now, close your eyes and just rest for a few moments. Then think of a verse, a Scripture, and repeat that Scripture to yourself over and over again, asking God what it means, then wait for an answer. If you don’t get one, submit an other verse. Keep it up until you HEAR from God. Eventually you will. Why? Because that’s why you were created- to find God and love Him!
