Gracious In The Journey

It’s bad enough that there is so much division within the body of Christ, amongst religions of the world, but the apparent need to tear down others unlike us is most disheartening. I know. I came from that mindset. I came from a denomination that thought it had all the truth. ALL! And I was one of it’s best swordsmen. I was out to knock down every argument that didn’t agree with my denomination. How did I think that was God? Or, was I even thinking at all. I choose to believe it was simple immature zeal. It kills nonetheless.

None of us are very good at playing Holy Spirit!

It’s about all we can do to play children in the Kingdom. Why can’t we come to the place where we define who we are in terms of what we believe and not in terms of “not being like others“? Pray for people that you think might be on the wrong path. Don’t confront and further divide.

The Kingdom isn’t for us to take away the beliefs or traditions of others.

The Kingdom is to so shine in and through us that it gives enough extra light (can you say love) that there’s enough for others to discover their own errors or path to God. Let people fail. Allow people to make mistakes. And be there when they fall to care for them and tend to their wounds.

Matthew 12:31 in the first part, basically says all sins will be forgiven. God is a God of love and He longs to see us struggle in the right way, with the right attitude and heart. God’s not sitting on some damp cloud or star out there making a note on His celestial laptop of every failure we experience, every mistake we make, or every malicious intent in our heart.

Remember, God is LOVE!

God is forgiving and merciful!

And God is GRACIOUS in all things, with ALL people!

Get on with LIFE!
