The so-called “Moses Code” by James Twyman has of course riled up the NOT FUN-damentalists. Of course it doesn’t take much to get them going, but when Twyman says He claims that “The Moses Code is “…the most powerful manifestation tool in the history of the world”, well, you’re just asking for a fight.
What’s the big SECRET? What’s the BID DEAL here? Would you believe a COMMA?
Along with a number of other claims made on The Moses Code website, the basic idea behind The Moses Code is that humans can now, “for the first time in 3,500 years” – “insert a comma” into the divine Name of God- I AM THAT I AM (Exodus 3:14)] and see “miracles manifest”. Now, in the 21st century, WE can begin to say an unbiblical version of God’s Name – ” I AM THAT , I AM “, and get what we want – so the story goes.
How about a more simple approach?
I AM and we ALL ARE something like our parents. We ARE a product of our school teachers, the FRIENDS we hang out with, and the people we associate with on a regular basis. Who doesn’t KNOW (comma) THAT? Who doesn’t know that birds of a feather flock together? But, who we ARE is a bit more subtle and surprisingly so.
Let me illustrate with who I AM!
>I became CHANGED when I went from the KJV to the NLT.
>I was further CHANGED when moving from the NLT to the REB!
Are you telling me that the translation of the Bible that one prefers determines SOME of who they ARE? Exactly! And what we seldom realize is that the best way to be changed is to TRAVEL and to READ. The 40+ countries that I have visited in my life CHANGED me in some way.
Every quarter I am reading new authors (I prefer to read an author who writes more than one book so I can get a feel for who they ARE. I have been changed in the first 8 months of 2010 because of these SIX authors:
>Russell Targ (3 books)
>Tom Harpur (13 books)
>Alvin Boyd Kuhn (9 books)
>Barbara Thiering (3 books)
>Charles Freeman (3 books)
>Robert Eisenman (3 books)
An let me give honorable mention to :Meg Blackburn Losey, Joe Kovacs, Christopher Dunn, R.P.C. Hanson, Lawrence Joseph, Ralph Ellis, Jeffrey Butz, Freke & Gandy, Bart Kosko, Kevin Hall, Linda Lowe, John James, Eric Pearl, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Duane Elgin, Jane Kantra, and Brian Weiss.
I AM what I AM because of these two dozen people. I AM…THAT…to which they wrote, to some degree. WHO ARE YOU? Outside of the religious and or spiritual answer there are several natural, reasonable, and logical answers: and they are HUGE!
I read the book sometime ago. As is often the case with we humans, I got something a little different from it. For me, the phrase became a simple declaration of my “co-creatorship” with Source in determining where I am headed and the journey that I take in getting there. I did not view it as a “name it and claim it” thing. I am (there it is again) glad to see that someone else is reading voraciously as myself (and I used to hate reading).
