In Sufi tradition the story is told that if God wanted to be present among his creation but didn’t want to be SEEN, then he would HIDE in each individual: in PLAIN SIGHT!
Tradition or story-telling notwithstanding, that is how life plays out every day for every individual.
We have within us (all of us) that divine nature that can never be soiled (fundamentalists would use the word SIN) or damaged in any spiritual sense. The Hindu concept of Namaste (sanskrit) says that the God in me SEES the God in you. If we could just practice that for a while instead of listening to our ego speak to us of all the bad things that it sees in others.
Can you imagine such a world?
Life is basically a game of hide and seek wherein the SELF is playing with the self: where our true divine nature is interacting with the ego small self. So, how’s the game of hide and seek going these days?
